Avatar 2 a sequel that we had 10 years waiting for, a lot of expectation was created around this movie, a lot of mysticism since it is a movie of james Cameron one of the most important filmmakers (just because he has made movies that grossed a lot of money) has released to the cinema his most recent creation admiring many people. But disappointing others (including me) as it is a movie that shows more of the same only now the main character Jake Sully now has a family burden and has to deal with third world problems as a war approaches his family and home. But, even though it has a golden title, the truth is that I feel this movie was much ado about nothing, as it was 3 hours of watching repetitive and predictable and even boring scenes, where one may think it was better to leave where the previous Avatar left off.
Of course don't get me wrong, I recognize that this movie is exciting, especially for the battles and the great feeling that this movie generates because you can identify with Jake Sully, if you have had to emigrate to look for a better way or to give security to your family and for you, this movie reflects it very well. What I criticize rather is that it is a plot totally the same as the previous one only that more characters are added doing exactly the same thing that Jake Sully did in the first part. But before we talk about that, let's talk a little bit about what the plot is about, to get into context and give a clear idea of why I think it's more of the same.
Avatar 2 una secuela que teníamos 10 años esperando, se creó mucha expectación alrededor de esta película, mucho misticismo ya que es una película de james Cameron uno de los cineastas más importantes (solo porque ha hecho películas que recaudaron mucho dinero) ha lanzado al cine su más reciente creación admirando a muchas personas. Pero decepcionando a otras (incluyéndome) ya que es una película que muestra más de lo mismo solo que ahora el protagonista Jake Sully ahora tiene una carga familiar y tiene que lidiar con problemas del tercer mundo cuando una guerra se aproxima a su familia y su hogar. Pero, aunque tiene un título dorado, la verdad es que siento que esta película fue mucho ruido y pocas nueces, ya que fueron 3 horas de ver escenas repetitivas y predecibles y hasta aburridas, donde uno puedo pensar que era mejor dejar donde había quedado la anterior Avatar.
Claro no me malinterpreten, reconozco que es emocionante esta película, sobre todo por las batallas y el gran sentimiento que genera esta película porque te puedes identificar con Jake Sully, si has tenido que emigrar para buscar un mejor rumbo o para darle seguridad a tu familia y para ti, esta película lo refleja muy bien. Lo que critico más bien es que es una trama totalmente igual a la anterior solo que se añaden más personajes haciendo exactamente lo mismo que hizo Jake Sully en la primera parte. Pero antes de hablar de eso contemos un poco de lo que va la trama, para entrar en contexto y así dar una idea clara de porque YO OPINO que es más de lo mismo.
It has been a few years since Jake Sully the ex-human exiled all the invading and evil humans from Pandora. Everything was in total harmony, and Jake Sully lived as the head of the ship clan in which he and his family were, and he also grew his family and has 4 children under his care. One day while he is with his family, he notices lights coming from the sky, which Jake Sully understands as spaceships that the human race is coming again to take possession of the valuable mineral and also hunt Jake Sully for ruining such an expensive operation. So Jake Sully must flee with his family so that the clan or village where he lives will not be dragged into the war and suffer for his actions, so with his family they decide to go far away from there, and head to a coastal town where the ship has adapted to live in the water unlike Jake Sully and his family who live in the jungle.
The plot focuses on Jake Sully and his family trying to adapt with the natives and with the nature that surrounds them, they must also fight against the humans that now Colonel Miles leads them again, the same villain of the previous film, this one resurrected in a very cliché way, since they had created a navi body for him where they gave him his memories and his bloodlust to hunt Jake Sully. Will this ex-human manage to keep his family safe? Will he finally find peace? I invite you to watch this 3 hour movie so you can find out, although I don't recommend it if you are bored of watching something you already know will happen.

Todo era total armonía, y Jake Sully viva como jefe del clan nave en el que él y su familia estaban, además agrando a su familia y tiene bajo su cuidado a 4 hijos. Un día mientras esta con su familia, nota como del cielo vienen luces, lo que Jake Sully entiendo como naves espaciales que la raza humana nuevamente viene a tomar posesión del valioso mineral y tambien cazar a Jake Sully por arruinar una operación tan costosa. así que Jake Sully debe huir con su familia para que el clan o aldea donde vive no se vean arrastradas por la guerra y sufran por sus acciones, así que con su familia deciden ir lejos de allí, y se dirigen a un pueblo costero donde la nave se ha adaptado a vivir en el agua a diferencia de Jake Sully y su familia que viven en la selva.
La trama se centra en Jake Sully y su familia tratando de adaptarse con los nativos y con la naturaleza que los rodea, además deben luchar contra los humanos que ahora el coronel miles los lidera de nuevo, el mismo villano de la película anterior, este resucito de una forma muy cliché, ya que habían creado un cuerpo navi para el dónde le dieron sus memorias y su sed de sangre por cazar a Jake Sully. ¿Logrará este ex-humano mantener a salvo a su familia? encontrará la paz finalmente? te invito a ver esta película de 3 horas para que puedas descubrirlo, aunque no te la recomiendo si te aburre ver algo que ya sabes que ocurrirá.
And yes, honestly I have no faith in this movie, I was so disappointed to see it because as I said before it is more of the same over and over again, for example, in the first installment, Jake Sully tries to adapt to Pandora, is humiliated by the Navi because he is different, falls in love and finally defeats the bad guy by destroying everything. And guess what, the exact same thing happens again but this time it is to Jake Sully's children because they are the ones who take the main role in the movie. Moving from the forest to the shores, Jake Sully's kids try to adapt, get humiliated because they are the new kids, fall in love and have special connections with the sea creatures and finally defeat the bad guys, absolutely nothing original. So, even if James Cameron was the creator of this and invested millions in it, I'm not impressed at all by the plot, it's boring and monotonous.
Y si, honestamente no le tengo nada de fe a esta película, e que me decepciono tanto verla porque como dije anteriormente es más de lo mismo una y otra vez, por ejemplo, en la primera entrega, Jake Sully trata de adaptarse a pandora, es humillado por los Navi ya que es diferente, e enamora y finalmente vence al malo destruyendo todo. ¿Y adivina qué? pues pasa de nuevo exactamente lo mismo pero esta vez es a los hijos de Jake Sully ya que ellos son lo que cobran más protagonismo en la película. Al mudarse del bosque a las costas, los hijos de Jake Sully tratan de adaptarse, los humillan porque son los nuevos, se enamoran y tienen conexiones especiales con las criaturas del mar y finalmente vencen a los malos, absolutamente nada original. Por eso, aunque James Cameron haya sido el creador de esto y le haya invertido millones, pues la verdad no me impresiona para nada la trama, es aburrida y monótona.
Something super interesting are the hundreds and hundreds of facts about this movie that you can get on the internet, for example the actress Kate Winslet held 7 minutes underwater, a record held by Tom Cruise, but that this aquatic Navi could break, and well I think that's the only interesting thing about this movie. Well there is another thing and it is a super, but super bad CGI scene and is when Jake's son is attacked by a kind of alien shark while he is diving, the shark is so but so bad that you can tell that an intern did it, because it totally scratches the whole movie rather it seems that it was incorporated as an emergency at the last minute.
Algo super interesante son los cientos y cientos de datos sobre esta película que puedes conseguir en internet, ya que por ejemplo la actriz Kate Winslet aguanto 7 minutos bajo el agua, récord que mantenía Tom Cruise, pero que esta Navi acuática pudo romper, y bueno creo que eso es lo único interesante de esta película. Bueno hay otra cosa y es una escena super, pero super mala de CGI y es cuando a hijo de Jake lo ataca una especie de tiburón alienígena mientras está buceando, el tiburón es tan pero tan malo que se nota que un pasante lo hizo, porque raya totalmente en toda la película más bien pareciera que lo incorporaron de emergencia a última hora
But everyone needs to create an opinion of a movie, and although I had seen many movies that had their bad or meaningless things, I did not pay attention to them or even mentioned them, rather I said they were excellent movies, but as this movie Avatar 2 James Cameron goes around with his potty mouth saying that it is a work of art since it cost a lot of money and has the latest technology in motion capture underwater, it really does not appeal to me at all, it is insipid, boring and monotonous. Besides, it's like watching the same plot of the first part only with new characters, it's something like the endless Terminator sequels that over and over again it's the same thing, it's totally pointless. But that's not all, according to Jame Cameron himself, there are 2 more movies where the same Colonel Zombie Navi is the main antagonist, so I think it will be the same linear plot in the next 2 installments.
So, in conclusion, I didn't like it at all, since the director himself boasts of a very boring movie, and that tarnishes all the money used or the state of the art technology. Besides, it's a movie that you want it to end, but it doesn't, it's 3 full hours of a boring story with no personality. Pero cada quien necesita crear una opinión de una película, y aunque había visto muchas películas que tenían sus cosa malas o sin sentido, no les prestaba atención o ni siquiera las mencionaba, más bien decía que eran películas excelentes, pero como esta película Avatar 2 James Cameron anda con la boca de poceta diciendo que es toda una obra de arte ya que costó mucho dinero y tiene la última tecnología en captura de movimiento bajo el agua, realmente no me atrae para nada, es insípida aburrida y monótona. Además, es ver la misma trama de la primera parte solo que con nuevos personajes, es algo así como las interminables secuelas de Terminator que una y otra vez es lo mismo, ya pierde el sentido totalmente. Pero eso no es todo, segun el mismo Jame Cameron, hay 2 películas más donde el mismo coronel Zombie navi es el antagonista principal, así que creo que será la misma trama lineal en las siguientes 2 entregas.
Así que, en conclusión, no me gusto para nada, ya que el mismo director se vanagloria de una película muy aburrida, y eso empaña todo el dinero utilizado o la tecnología de punta. Además, es una película que quieres que termine, pero no lo hace, son 3 horas completa de una historia aburrida y sin personalidad.
