Fast and Furious 9: This is out of control - Review [ENG/ESP]

When we go to school there is always some exaggerated classmate who has incredible or interesting things happen to him, in my case there was a classmate who had a super incredible life, as if it was taken out of a movie. For example, he said that he had gone to Disney in the United States and Europe, that he had visited London, that he had swum with dolphins, among other lies. None of the other classmates believed him, but it entertained us to see how he lied to us and that he believed those lies himself.

Cuando vamos a la escuela siempre hay algun compañero de clase exagerado que le pasan cosas increibles o interesantes, en mi caso habia un compañero de clase que tenia una vida super increible, como si fuera sacada de una pelicula. Por ejemplo decia que habia ido a disney en estados unidos y en europa, que habia visitado londres, que habia nadado junto con delfines, entre otras mentiras mas. Obiamente ninguno de los demas compañeros le creiamos un pepino, pero nos entretenia ver como nos mentia y que el mismo se creyera esas mentiras.

Now if we examine the case of the Fast and Furious saga, we see that it is like that lying child who does not know what to say to try to impress everyone and we listen to his lies because we like to see how he invents garbage to try to convince the audience, besides forcibly introducing a lot of reggaeton artists who do nothing useful or are not relevant in anything to attract the Latino audience. That's why I would like to review and give my opinion about this movie that is overrated and has already gone far away from the original idea it had and also a movie without originality since they recycle shots from previous movies.

Ahora si examinamos el caso de la saga rapido y furioso, vemos que es como ese niño mentiroso que no sabe que contar para tratar de impresionar a todos y que escuchamos sus mentiras porque nos gusta ver como inventa basura para tratar de convencer a la audiencia, ademas de meter forsozamente a un monton de artistas de regaeton que en realidad no hacen nada util o no son relevantes en nada con tal de atraer al publico latino. Por eso me gustaria hacer una reseña y dar mi opinion sobre esta pelicula que esta claramente sobrevalorada y que ya se fue muy lejos de la idea oroginal que tenia y ademas una pelicula sin originalidad ya que reciclan tomas de peliculas anteriores.

The movie begins in the '80s where we see what happened to Toretto's father when he died in a racing accident, also we reveal that the Toretto's are 3 siblings, which are: Dominic, Mia, and the brother taken from the last moment of the magician's hat Jakob. Then we see how the Toretto Ortiz family live a quiet life on the farm with Brian, Dominic's son, also as they are very wanted and persecuted they are completely distant without connection with anyone. Then comes Roman, Tej, and Ramsey to invade the quiet life of Dominic as Mr. Nobody has been kidnapped and has disappeared, also Cipher the villain has been rescued as Mr. Nobody was taking her prisoner.

La pelicula comienza en la decada de los 80's donde vemos lo que le ocurrio al padre de toretto cuando murio en un accidente de carreras, tambien nos revelan que los toretto son en realidad 3 hermanos, que son: Dominic, Mia y el hermano sacado de ultimo moneto del sombrero de mago Jakob. Luego vemos como la familia toretto ortiz viven una vida tranquila en la granja con Brian el hijo de dominic, tambien como son muy buscados y perseguidos estan completamente alejados sin conexion con nadie. Acto seguido llega Roman, Tej y Ramsey a invadir la vida tranquila de dominic ya que el Sr Don Nadie ha sido secuestrado y ha desaparecido, tambien Cipher la villana ha sido rescatada ya que el sr don nadie la llevava prisionera.

So Dominic, Letty, roman, tej, and Ramsey travel to a Latin American country to rescue Mr. nobody, but when they arrive they find a trap and lots of soldiers start shooting at them and here comes the first lie because for some strange reason no soldier hits a single shot at the team, it seems that they did not want to shoot them, even when they surrounded Roman 12 soldiers he was not hurt at all. After miraculously escaping unharmed from a hail of bullets, they go into a chase because they have half an artifact capable of monitoring and dominating the entire world, here comes a recycled idea, as it is the same as the eye of god but it is green, glows and can not be hacked. So after entering the jungle fleeing from soldiers who do not know how to shoot, they enter a minefield because it has a better escape route to cross the border of the country. And again here comes another miraculous scene, as none of the team is hurt by the mines, then Dominic meets his brother who takes half of the device and flees, and again comes another ridiculously miraculous scene, as Dominic and Letty use a metal cable from a fallen bridge to swing a car like Tarzan and the most impressive thing is that they fall and make a lot of turns again without getting hurt and that neither of them had a seat belt.

Asi que Dominic, Letty, Roman, tej y ramsey, viajan a un pais latinoamericano para rescatar al sr don nadie, pero al llegar se encuentran con una trampa y montones de soldados comienzan a dispararles y aqui llega la primera mentira, ya que por alguna razon extraña ningun soldado acierta un solo disparo al equipo, pareciera que no les quisieran disparar, incluso cuando rodearon a roman 12 soldados el no salio para nada lastimado. Luego de salir ilesos milagrosamente de una lluvia de balas, se adentran en una persecucion ya que ellos poseen la mitad un artefacto capaz de vigilar y dominar al mundo entero, aqui viene una idea reciclada, ya que es exactamente lo mismo que el ojo de dios pero es verde, brilla y no puede ser hackeada. Asi que luego de entrar en la selva huyendo de soldados que no saben disparar, se adentran en un campo minado ya que tiene una mejor ruta de escape para cruzar la frontera el pais. Y de nuevo aqui viene otra escena milagrosa, ya que ninguno del equipo resulta lastimado con las minas, luego dominic se encuentra con su hermano que les quita la mitad del dispositivo y huye, y de nuevo viene otra escena ridiculamente milagrosa, ya que dominic y letty usan una guaya de un punte caido para columpiar un carro como si fuera tarzan y lo mas impresionante es que caen y dan un monton de vueltas de nuevo sin hacerse daño y eso que ninguno de los dos tenia un cinturon de seguridad.

Then comes another scene where we see Cipher with a different look from the last movie as it seems that she goes to the same stylist of Dumb and Dumber, she is locked in a glass box because the villain of this movie needs her to know where is the other half of the artifact, which he desperately seeks to dominate the world and as his father is a dictator of a nation has all the resources to buy anyone. So Cipher gives them the exact location of the other half of the device and they head off to find it. After that we see the team protected by the miraculous rose water, entering a lair of Mr. Nobody, there they discover how the artifact is called and what it is for, they also discover that Han is involved so everyone is surprised and also Mia Dominic's sister joins the adventure.

Luego viene otra escena donde vemos a Cipher con un look distinto a la ultima pelicula ya que parece que va al mismo estilista de Dumb and Dumber, ella esta encerrada en una caja de cristal ya que el villano de esta pelicula la necesita para saber donde esta la otra mitad del artefacto, que el busca desesperadamente para dominar al mundo y como su padre es dictador de una nacion tiene todos los recursos para comprar a quien sea. Asi que Cipher les da la locacion exacta de la otra mitad del aparato y se dirigen a buscarla. Luego de eso vemos al aquipo protegido por el agua de rosas milagrosa, entrando en una guarida del sr don nadie, alli descubren como se llama el artefacto y para que sirve, tambien descubren que Han esta involucrado asi que todos se sorprenden y tambien Mia la hermana de Dominic se une a la Aventura.

After that comes a flashback of Dominic in jail as a young man, which personally was unnecessary because it seems that it was only to force the participation of a Latin singer and this is nothing more and nothing less than Ozuna, who seems to be Rico as a young man and also someone who plays tego calderon as a young man, they explain that they are in jail for being black and blame the system for being unfair, but the truth is that they are there for committing a crime since they say that they have robbed a bank. Then follows the same flashback but with Dominic getting out of jail and now he goes after his brother. After all, he learns that Jakob was the one who caused their father to die because he had cut the fuel line, so instead of talking like adults would, dominic leaves the family relationship to chance and proposes a racing duel if dominic wins jakob would leave forever but if jakob won he would stay, obviously to make sense and not throw away a story they did in 2001, dominic wins the race and jakob disappears from the map.

Luego de eso viene una flashback de Dominic en la carcel de joven, que en lo personal fue totalmente innecesaria ya que parece que solo fue para meter forzozamente la participacion de un cantante latino y este es nada mas y nada menos que Ozuna, que parece que es Rico de joven y tambien a alguien que interpreta a tego calderon de joven, ellos explican que estan en la carcel por ser negros y le hechan la culpa al sistema de ser injusto, perola verdad es que estan alli por cometer uncrimen ya que ellos mismos dicen que han robado un banco. Luego sigue el mismo flashback pero con dominic saliendo de la carcel y ahora va tras su hermano ya que se entera de que jakob fue quien hizo que el padre de ambos se muriera, porque habia cortado la mangera de combustible, asi que en vez de hablar como lo harian las personas adultas, dominic deja a la suerte la relacion familiar y propone un duelo de carreras si dominic gana jakob se iria para siempre pero si jakob ganaba se quedaria, obiamente para darle sentido y no tirar por el suelo una historia que hicieron en el 2001, dominic gana la carrera y jakob desaparece del mapa.

Then we see how mia and Letty meet han and find out what he has to do with all this and how he did to simulate his death, and he says that he did it to be a ghost and disappear as Mr. nobody, he also says that he has a mission and is to protect the activation code of the artifact called Project Ares, which is a Japanese girl daughter of the creators of the artifact. While han's resurrection is happening, the angry team is in Edinburgh to prevent the bad guys from stealing the other half of the project ares, and they succeed even though they destroy half the city and cause a lot of material damage, they manage to get the other half of project ares and catch jakob, so after seeing han alive and hugging him, they find out that jakob was working in that hideout and that he warned the villains, so jakob leaves with the code girl and the other half of the artifact, orders them to kill the angry team, but they manage to escape. During the escape comes one of the most lying scenes in the history of cinema, as Dominic collapses the entire structure pulling 2 chains as if he were Hercules, and falls into a pool of water where he has a vision and sees that Jakob had nothing to do with the death of father Toretto, as it was all a plan of the father to lose and pay a lot of debts, so Dominic forgives his brother and no longer wants to kill him.

Luego vemos como mia y letty se encuentran con han y se enteran que tiene que ver el con todo esto y como hizo para simular su muerte, y el cuenta que lo hizo para ser un fantasma y desaparecer como el sr don nadie, tambien cuenta que tiene una mision y es proteger al codigo de activacion del artefacto que se llama Proyecto Ares, que es una niña japonesa hja de los creadores del artefacto. Mientras pasa la resurrecion de han, el equipo furioso esta en Edimburgo para evitar que los malos se roben la otra mitad del proyecto ares, y tienen exito aunque destruyen media ciudad y ocacionan muchos daos materiales logran obtener la otra mitad del proyecto ares y atrapar a jakob, asi que despues de ver a han vivo y abrazarlo, se enteran de que jakob trabajaba en ese escondite y que aviso a los villanos, asi que jakob se va con la niña codigo y la otra mitad del artefacto, ordena que maten a el equipo furioso, pero logran escapar. Durante el escape viene una de las escenas mas mentirosas de la historia del cine, ya que dominic hace colapzar toda la estructura tirando de 2 cadenas como si fuera Hercules, y cae a un pozo de agua donde tiene una vision y ve que Jakob no habia tenido nada que ver con la muerte del padre toretto, ya que fue todo un plan del padre para perder y pagar un monton de deudas, asi que Dominic perdona a su hermano y ya no lo quiere matar.

Now the furious team has to stop the plans of Cipher who is the one who takes control of the villainous operation to dominate the world, Cipher plans to take a satellite into space and thus intensify the signal of the Ares project to have a global reach, so the furious team has to go into space to prevent the satellite from linking the signal, so Roman and Tej are launched into space in a car modified by two mechanics who ran in illegal races in Tokyo, which are nothing more and nothing less than Sean and Twinkie. While they try to avoid Cipher's plans with a cinematic very similar to 5 in Rio de Janeiro when they destroy the whole city, Cipher casually betrays Jakob and wants to kill him because he is an obstacle since he is a Toretto, but Dominic arrives to save his little brother from certain death. Then they stop all of Cipher's plans but she escapes and the team after winning reunites at the family barbecue at Dom's house. Then we see Dominic, taking his son to the track where his father died and in the background, we have a song that again for nothing adds value to the movie, as it was to sell even more the movie, the song is two lines of Bad Bunny singing a family song in the style of Barney and his friends saying that family is not betrayed, but if the whole movie was about Dominic betrayed his brother? well it makes no sense, then the movie ends with Dominic saying a few words to his son.

Ahora el equipo furioso tiene que detener los planes de Cipher que es quien toma el control de la operacion villana de dominar al mundo, el plan de cipher es llevar un satelite al espacio y asi intensificar la señal del proyecto ares para que tenga un alcance global, asi que el equipo furioso tiene que ir al espacio para evitar que el satelite enlace la señal , asi que roman y Tej se lanzan al espacio en un auto modificado por dos mecanicos que corrian en carreras ilegales en tokio, que son nada mas y nada menos que Sean y Twinkie. Mientras tratan de evitar los planes de Cipher con una cinematica muy similar a la 5 en rio de janeiro cuando destruyen toda la ciudad, casualmente cipher traiciona a jakob y lo quiere matar porque es un obstaculo ya que es un toretto, pero dominic llega para salvar a su hermanito de una muerte segura. Luego detienen todos los planes de cipher pero ella escapa y el equipo despues de ganar se reunen en la clicheada parrillada familiar en la casa de Dom. Luego vemos a Dominic, llevando a su hijo a la pista donde murio su padre y de fondo tenemos a una cancion que de nuevo para nada aporta valor a la pelicula, ya que fue para vender aun mas la pelicula, la cancion son dos lineas de Bad Bunny cantando una cancion familiar al estilo de Barney y sus amigos diciendo que la familia no se traiciona, pero si toda la pelicula trato de que dominic traiciono a su hermano? pues para nada tiene sentido, entonces termina la pelicula con Dominic diciendole unas palabras a su hijo.

This movie for me sucked, they went far away from the original idea they wanted to transmit in the 2001 movie, here they go to space and avoid world domination, what happened with stealing gasoline or appliances with your friends? it just doesn't make sense. Something very surprising (even for me) and let's say that saved the whole movie, was the post-credits scene where Shaw hits someone and suddenly he meets Han, it was the only real and exciting part of this movie because you wonder what will happen after this, even Shaw's scared face gives you goosebumps.

Esta pelicula para mi fue un asco total, ya que se fueron muy lejos de la idea original que querian transmitir en la pelicula del 2001, aqui se van al espacio y evitan la dominacion mundial ¿que paso con robar gasolina o electrodomesticos con tus amigos? simplemente no tiene sentido. Algo que fue muy sorprendente (incluso para mi) y que digamos que salvo toda la pelicula, fue la escena postcreditos donde sale Shaw golpeando a alguien y derepente se encuentra con Han, fue la unica parte real y emocionante de toda esta pelicula, ya que te preguntas que pasara luego de esto, incluso la cara de susto de Shaw te pone la piel de gallina.

Lastly, I forgot to talk about the scene that Cardi B does, and it is when Dominic meets his brother in London and tries to arrest him but Interpol arrests Dominic, but surprisingly it was a friend of Dominic's who helps him and gives him Jakob's fingerprints, and so far this scene was very good, but they (Justin lin) wanted Cardi B to talk and tell her story, which again doesn't add any value to the movie nor is it relevant to the rest of the movie she doesn't even appear again, she mentions that she went from being a gas thief to being a Pimp who provides women for millionaires, again I have to say it, a story that nobody cares about and it's something unnecessary.

Por ultimo se me olvido hablar sobre la escena que hace Cardi B, y es cuando Dominic se encuentra con su hermano en londres y trata de detenerlo pero la interpol arresta a dominic, pero sorpresa era una amiga de Dominic que lo ayuda y le da las huellas dactilares de Jakob, y hasta alli estaba muy bien esta escena, pero quisieron que Cardi B hablara y contara su historia, que de nuevo no aporta ningun valor a la pelicula ni es relevante en el resto de pelicula de hecho ni siquiera vuelve a aparecer, ella menciona que paso de ser ladrona de gasolina a ser una Chula que proporciona mujeres para millonarios, de nuevo lo tengo que decir, una historia que a nadie le importa y es algo totalmente innecesario.

Also, something that was not well written or they did not agree on how to present them, were the illegal racing duo of Tokyo Sean and Twinkie. Since as I said before in the Tokyo Drift movie they were racers who ran a mafia smuggling all kinds of items, but now they run a workshop that manufactures rockets, something that is not known where Justin Lin got it from, I also think it was something to justify the appearance of these characters. But anyway who cares if this makes sense or not? if this continues to generate billions that matter the sense of things since people love to overvalue the most ridiculous things then come more and more Fast and Furious and invent time travel or that the mission is to stop Hell Boy from killing Benjamin Frankil, any lie that comes with a movie titled Fast and Furious we will consume it with pleasure.

Tambien, algo que no fue bien escrito o no se pusieron de acuerdo en como presentarlos, fueron el duo de las carreras ilegales de tokio Sean y Twinkie. Ya que como dije antes en la pelicula de Tokio Drift eran corredores que dirigian una mafia de contrabando de todo tipo de articulos, pero ahora dirigen un taller que fabrica cohetes, algo que no se sabe de donde Justin Lin se lo saco, tambien pienso que fue algo para justificar la aparicion de estos personajes. Pero en fin ¿A quien le importa si esto tiene sentido o no? si esto sigue generando miles de millones que importa el sentido de las cosas, ya que a las personas les encanta sobrevalorar las cosas mas ridiculas pues que vengan mas y mas rapidos y furiosos y que inventen viajes en el tiempo o que la mision sea detener a Hell Boy de matar a Benjamin Frankil, cualquier mentira con la que venga una pelicula titulada rapido y furioso la consumiremos con mucho gusto.
