What would you do if you saw your son stealing?
If they had asked that question to my mom when I was 14 and in the company of bad friends, I would have answered:
"Well, let the cops give him all the necessary blows".
And as harsh as it sounds from a mother, it was that fear of getting beaten up that kept me away from a dissolute life in the world of crime.

Si le hubieran preguntado eso a mí mama cuando yo tenía 14 y estaba en compañía de malas amistades, pues hubiera respondido:
"Pues que los policías le den todos los golpes necesarios"
Y es que, aunque suene muy duro de parte de una madre, fue ese temor a sufrir golpes lo que me mantuvo alejado de una vida disoluta en el mundo del crimen.
But sometimes, although we have parents who want to guide us on the right path to a life without problems, there are some young people who do not listen to this advice and prefer to go down the wrong path and continue with bad company that lead them to worse and worse things, such as drug use, stealing to pay for vices or even kill for money among other things. And the worst thing is that very few times these things are condemned by the law, because, even if they go to prison they get out quickly or they are not given the punishment as it should be and in a short time these people who choose wrong in life return to the wrong path.
Pero algunas veces, aunque tengamos padres que nos quieran guiar por el bueno camino de una vida sin problemas, hay algunos jóvenes que no escuchan estos consejos y prefieren irse por el mal camino y siguen con las malas compañías que los llevan a cosas cada vez peores, como consumo de drogas, robar para pagar vicios o hasta matar por dinero entre otras cosas más. Y lo peor es que muy pocas veces estas cosas son condenadas por la ley, ya que, aunque vayan a prisión salen rápido o no se les da el castigo como debe ser y en poco tiempo estas personas que eligen mal en la vida vuelven a el mal camino.

Por eso es que las personas que sufren a causa de los robos o crímenes cometidos por estas personas hacen algo por mano propia, al ver la gran negligencia de parte de las autoridades. Y eso es precisamente lo que la película argentina 4X4 quiere mostrar. El cómo un Doctor cansado de que lo roben a él y a su familia hace algo para que el próximo ladrón finalmente aprenda la lección.
The film is set in modern Argentina, although in reality all LATAM communities could be identified because all these communities suffer the same, and begins by showing a panorama of the insecurity that exists in Argentina, where people are afraid to leave their homes for fear of being assaulted, they put very high security fences and security cameras that watch every inch of the streets.
La película se ubica en la argentina moderna, aunque en realidad todas las comunidades de LATAM se pudieran identificar porque todas estas comunidades sufren lo mismo, y comienza mostrando un panorama de la inseguridad que se vive en argentina, donde las personas tienen miedo de salir de sus casas por temor a ser asaltadas, ponen rejas de seguridad muy altas y cámaras de seguridad que vigilan cada centímetro de las calles.
Suddenly we see Ciro, a young criminal and car thief who seems to find a magnificent treasure, a beautiful and luxurious 4X4 van, he notices that there is no one watching him and in an ingenious way opens the door to steal the sound player and other belongings in the van, But when Ciro is celebrating how easy it was to get a great loot, his torment begins because the van does not open, he can not break the windows or doors, he is locked up like in a prison, where the owner of the van will teach Ciro a lesson.
Honestly this movie impacted me a lot, because besides being an independent movie it is a low budget Latin movie, but it makes a great impression because as I said in the beginning of the publication, the theme presented here is something that is very very common in Latin countries like Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, etc.. And it's not only car theft, it's all kinds of crimes like murders, rapes, armed home invasions, among other crimes.
De pronto vemos a Ciro, un joven criminal y ladrón de autos que parece encontrar un magnífico tesoro, una hermosa y lujosa camioneta 4X4 él se percata que no haya nadie viéndolo y de una manera ingeniosa abre la puerta para robar el reproductor de sonido y las demás pertenencias que hayan en la camioneta, pero cuando Ciro se encuentra celebrando por lo fácil que fue obtener un gran botín, empieza su tormento ya que la camioneta no abre, no puede romper las ventanas ni las puertas, está encerrado como en una prisión, donde el dueño de la camioneta le enseñara una lección a Ciro.
Honestamente esta película me impacto mucho, ya que además de ser una película independiente es una película latina de poco presupuesto, pero que causa una gran impresión porque como dije en el principio de la publicación, el tema que se presenta aquí es algo que es muy pero muy común en países latinos como Venezuela, argentina, Colombia, ecuador, etc. Y no solo es el robo de autos, es todo tipo de crímenes como asesinatos, violaciones, allanamientos de casas a mano armada, entre otros crímenes.
In addition, another thing I liked about the film is that it is based on a real life event, where a thief was trapped in a car he tried to steal in Brazil, Mariano Cohn who is the director of this film was shocked with the news and as he saw that it would be a perfect topic as a social claim, he adapted a film for it and from there 4X4 was born. Although the film shows more than just a simple thief locked in a car as punishment, it also shows the enormous social discontent that people live when being subjected by criminals and that the authorities protect the criminals or do not give them enough punishment, so in one scene you see how the people of the neighborhood where the truck is parked, want to take justice into their own hands, but are stopped by the police. Also, the ending is something totally inspired and impressive, so I recommend you to watch it. I feel that in reality everyone in the world could identify with this because no matter what country you are from, everyone can be robbed or be a victim of a crime at some point in life. Además, otra cosa que me gusto de la película es que está basada en un hecho de la vida real, donde un ladrón que quedó atrapado en un auto que intentó robar en Brasil, Mariano Cohn que ese director de esta película quedo impactado con la noticia y como vio que sería un tema perfecto como un reclamo social, adapto una película para ello y de allí nació 4X4. Aunque en la película se ve más que solo un simple ladrón encerrado en un carro como castigo, tambien se ve el enorme descontento social que viven las personas al ser sometidas por criminales y que las autoridades protejan a los criminales o no les den el castigo suficiente, por eso en una escena se ve como las personas del vecindario donde esta estacionada la camioneta, quieren tomar justicia por su propia mano, pero son detenidos por la policía. Además, el final es algo totalmente inspirado e impresionante, así que te recomiendo verla. Ya que siento que en realidad todas las personas del mundo se podrían identificar con esto porque sin importar del país que sean todos alguna vez en la vida podemos ser robados o ser víctimas de algún crimen. ¿Pero si ya la has visto cuéntame que te ha parecido?
