On the 29th of this month my beloved wife and I had our anniversary, it has been 4 years that we have been together, 4 years full of trials and challenges but that have brought us closer to each other and where our love has grown bigger and bigger. To celebrate the occasion we decided to cook something ourselves, as in previous years we had always eaten out, but this time we wanted to do something ourselves and see how it turned out, so we decided to make a nice pizza with all the ingredients, and it turned out so amazing, that we decided that such a meal on such a special occasion deserves a very special movie.
My wife immediately thought of Pride & Perjuice, the all-time romantic classic, but since we had already seen it many times, I mentioned to her that we could look for something new and that included the genre of comedy and romance, and thank God we hit on a movie that does both of those things and that is also a movie that you will see another time because it can become a tradition. The movie has a rather long name, but you'll understand when I try to explain it haha. The title is: Love Weddings & other Disasters. The movie in addition to a pretty funny plot, has characters that have made other excellent productions and also has as director Dennis Dugan who if you remember his name has directed many Adam Sandler movies.
El 29 de este mes mi amada esposa y yo estuvimos de aniversario, ya son 4 años los que hemos estado juntos 4 años llenos de pruebas y desafíos pero que nos han acercado bastante el uno al otro y donde nuestro amor se ha hecho cada vez más grande. Para celebrar la ocasión decidimos cocinar algo nosotros, ya que en años anteriores siempre habíamos salido a comer afuera, pero en esta ocasión quisimos hacer algo nosotros y ver cómo nos salía, así que decidimos hacer una buena pizza con todos los ingredientes, y quedo tan increíble, que decidimos que una comida así en una ocasión tan especial me merece una película muy especial.
Mi esposa inmediatamente pensó en Pride & Perjuice, la clásica romántica de todos los tiempos, pero como ya la hemos visto muchas veces, le mencione que podríamos buscar algo nuevo y que incluyera el género de comedia y romance, y gracias a Dios dimos justo en el punto de una película que cumple con esas dos cosas y que además es una película que veras en otra ocasión porque puede convertirse en una tradición. La película tiene un nombre bastante largo, pero ya lo entenderás cuando trate de explicarla jaja. El título es: Love Weddings & other Disasters. La película además de una trama bastante chistosa, tiene a personajes que han hecho otras excelentes producciones y además tiene como director a Dennis Dugan que si recuerdas su nombre ha dirigido muchas películas de Adam Sandler.
The plot of Love Weddings & other Disasters, focuses on different points of view, but all added to a linear storyline, it's a little confusing, but you'll get the idea. The main plot is about the wedding of a mayoral candidate, who hires a woman who has a bad reputation for ruining weddings, plus the mayor has a brother who is half-witted and is participating in a TV contest where the prize is a million dollars, but he must remain chained to someone for as long as possible. At the same time in the team of wedding planners of the mayoral candidate is a very strict interior decorator who meets a blind woman who helps him to see things in a less square way and also at the same time a tour guide is looking for an ideal girl he met on a tour and never saw again and finally the story of the wedding planner herself who ends up looking for a band to play at the wedding and may fall in love with the guitarist. And all with comedy at every turn, but keeping the storyline which is finding love.
La trama de Love Weddings & other Disasters, se enfoca en diferentes puntos de vista, pero todos sumados a un hilo argumental lineal, es algo confuso, pero ya lo entenderás. La trama principal va sobre la boda de un candidato a alcalde, que contrata a una mujer que tiene una mala reputación de arruina bodas, además el alcalde tiene un hermano que es medio tonto y que está participando en un concurso televisivo donde el premio es un millón de dólares, pero debe permanecer encadenado a alguien por el mayor tiempo posible. Al mismo tiempo en el equipo de organizadores de la boda del candidato a alcalde esta un decorador de interiores muy estricto que conoce a una mujer ciega que lo ayuda a ver las cosas de un modo menos cuadrado y tambien al mismo tiempo un guía turístico está buscando a una chica ideal que conoció en un tour y que nunca más vio y por último la historia de la propia mujer organizadora de bodas que termina buscando una banda para que toque en la boda y puede que se enamore del guitarrista. Y todo con comedia a cada momento, pero mantenido el hilo argumental que es encontrar el amor.
Love Weddings & other Disasters is a perfect movie, as it combines many things that make you connect with the movie, for example, the interior planner Lawrence Phillips (Starring Jeremy Irons) is a very strict and perfectionist man, but into his life comes Sara (Starring Diane Keaton) a blind woman who is a little disorganized, but that creates a balance in both that make love arise and start a beautiful story.
Or like the tour guide Captain Ritchie (Starring Andrew Bachelor) who found his platonic love on the street and does everything he can to find her again in a city of almost a million inhabitants, he makes every effort to get on TV. He reminds me of those girls I used to see on the buses that I fell in love with but never saw again in my life haha. And finally there is the brother of the candidate for mayor, a silly man who can go unnoticed but thanks to an extreme contest he manages to get his true love and of course after going through a series of things involving the mafias haha.
Love Weddings & other Disasters es una película perfecta, ya que combina muchas cosas que hacen que te conecte con la película, por ejemplo, el organizador de interiores Lawrence Phillips (Protagonizado por Jeremy Irons) es un hombre sumamente estricto y perfeccionista, pero a su vida llega Sara (Protagonizado por Diane Keaton) una mujer ciega y que es un poco desorganizada, pero que crea un equilibrio en ambos que hacen que el amor surge e inicie una bonita historia.
O como el guía turístico el Captain Ritchie (Protagonizado por Andrew Bachelor) que encontró a su amor platónico en la calle y que hace todo lo que puede por volverla a encontrar en una ciudad de casi un millón de habitantes, el hace todos los esfuerzos posibles hasta salir en televisión. Me recuerda a esas chicas que veía en los autobuses y de las cuales me enamoré pero que más nunca volví a ver en mi vida jaja. Y por último está el hermano del candidato al alcalde, un hombre tonto que puede pasar desapercibido pero que gracias a un concurso extremo logra conseguir a su amor verdadero y claro luego de pasar una serie de cosas que involucra a las mafias jaja.
