John Wick is not just another rule of cool action movie with a lot of shooting and fighting. Sure it has that as well... A lot of it in fact. But surprisingly between all that it manages to tell a fascinating tale. And it does some things very differently from many other action movies. Normally movies try to make villains scary and threatening. In the beginning of John Wick a villain is basically told that he is already a dead man walking because he made John Wick angry. That one time in the past John killed a few men with a pencil... And that the villain is powerless and can't do anything. A powerful mafia boss is scared of a single man. That is one crazy way to start a movie, right?

I also loved the soundtracks, visuals and atmosphere. The movie has a bit of dark futuristic feeling. So far I have not played cyberpunk 2077 but I expect that it will be a bit of a mix between John Wick and Dredd. A dark dirty world full of criminals both ordinary and powerful.With some of them hiding in highest posts and others openly committing crimes. A world where it difficult to distinguish a friend from a foe. So finger is always kept on the trigger...

Few other things I loved about this this movie was that: John Wick's reasons for doing what he did are simple but relatable. And the criminals rules were also fascinating to me. It is interesting that even people who constantly operated with no regard to normal laws still had to obey the laws of the underworld. Even really powerful crime bosses had to regard opinions of others. And despite their power and positions they also feared John Wick. For a damn good reason...
