Star Wars movie world has just been surprised by quit of Colin Trevorrow, director of Jurassic World who was appointed to direct the movie Star Wars: Episode IX. Thus, J.J. Abrams, who is director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was asked to replace him.
But lately, some Star Wars fans started a petition for J.J. Abrams was been taken out from the director of Star Wars: Episode IX, as reported by Comic Book, Friday (15/09/2017).
"Most of the fans agree that Abrams's vision for Episode VII resulted in the repetition of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.Almost no creativity, and no risks taken, such satisfaction can not be the trilogy trajectory of this sequel," the petition declared.
"More specifically, the success metrics in Star Wars movies can not sell at the box office, Lucasfilm and Disney need to listen to fan critics, Star Wars fans deserve better, they demand better," the statement continued in the petition.
