Lo que opino sobre Eternals de Marvel (Spoiler Alert)

El lunes pasado fui junto a mi esposa al cine en un centro comercial que esta cercano a casa, y como nos encantan las películas de Marvel, decididos a estar totalmente al día con los estrenos, decidimos ver la película de los Eternals.

Last Monday I went with my wife to the movies at a mall near our house, and since we love Marvel movies, we decided to be totally up to date with the new releases, so we decided to see the Eternals movie.

Hasta este punto todo bien, llegamos al centro comercial, compramos las entradas y esperamos un poco por nuestra función. Ahora bien, si no has visto la película, no sigas leyendo. Porque mi intención no es establecer algun tipo de prejuicio, y quizás mi opinión podría alterar tu perspectiva de la película antes de verla. Aunque intentaré ser lo mas objetivo posible, la objetividad no es algo que se pueda prometer ya que al dar un punto de vista personal es más que evidente que mis juicios que han tenido un origen en mis emociones influirán en mi opinión.

So far so good, we arrived at the mall, bought our tickets and waited a bit for our show. Now if you haven't seen the movie, read no further. Because my intention is not to establish some sort of bias, and perhaps my opinion might alter your perspective of the movie before you see it. Although I will try to be as objective as possible, objectivity is not something that can be promised because when giving a personal point of view it is more than evident that my judgments that have had an origin in my emotions will influence my opinion.

Now, stop if you haven't seen the movie, don't follow....

Ahora bien, si continuaste hasta aquí confío en que ya hayas visto la película. Pues bien, honestamente me decepcionó un poco, aunque admito que poseía altas para esta película, bueno bueno, muy altas en realidad. Y quizás por eso mi insatisfacción como cinéfilo.

Creo que para ser una película de Marvel tuvo ciertas inconsistencias hasta que no expliquen ciertas cosas que honestamente no comprendí, aunque sé que los dialogos no son una gran prioridad en las películas de superhéroes siento que pudo haber sido mejor elaborados los dialogos.

Now if you continued this far I trust you have already seen the movie. Well, honestly I was a bit disappointed, although I admit I had high expectations for this movie, well well, very high actually. And perhaps that's why my dissatisfaction as a moviegoer.

I think for a Marvel movie it had some inconsistencies until they don't explain certain things that I honestly didn't understand, although I know that dialogues are not a big priority in superhero movies I feel that it could have been better elaborated dialogues.

Aunque los efectos especiales son increíbles al igual que la banda sonora, no sentí una gran conexión con muchos personajes, solamente con Thena interpretada por Angelina Jolie porque presenta un problema que podríamos llamar psicológico y hace de su rol dentro de la película más interesante.

En un momento de la película mencionan a Thanos, y es el único momento de la película que hacen referencia a algo sobre el resto del universo de Marvel y me pareció algo forzado, en el resto de la película no sentí ninguna relación con el resto del mundo Marvel.

Although the special effects are amazing as well as the soundtrack, I didn't feel a great connection with many characters, only with Thena played by Angelina Jolie because she presents a problem that we could call psychological and makes her role in the movie more interesting.

At one point in the movie they mention Thanos, and it is the only moment in the movie that they make reference to something about the rest of the Marvel universe and it seemed to me something forced, in the rest of the movie I didn't feel any relation with the rest of the Marvel world.

Pensando en como ha desarrollado marvel cada una de sus películas, siento que esta ha roto un patrón, quizás estemos ante un evento único y por eso me a causado cierto desatino. Cada película de superhéroes ha girado en torno a un problema local. Las peliculas que han girado en torno a un problema global han sido eventos únicos y han vinculado no a un único superhéroe sino que han relacionado a varios. Ahora bien, el problema que se presenta en esta oportunidad es global porque atenta contra toda la tierra.

Aunque se nos presenta un villano el verdadero problema es el nacimiento se un celestial y cuyo evento es tan grande que no sé como otros heores como Doctor Strange no nota este evento. Ahora bien, sentí que la película ha sido un intento de presentar ciertos personajes, más allá de los ethernos sentí que los verdaderos personajes que querian presentar eran a los celestiales, aunque solo fuesen mostrado un par de los muchos celestiales que existen.

Thinking about how Marvel has developed each of its movies, I feel that this one has broken a pattern, maybe we are facing a unique event and that's why it has caused me some dissatisfaction. Each superhero movie has revolved around a local problem. The movies that have revolved around a global problem have been unique events and have linked not just one superhero but several. Now, the problem presented this time is global because it threatens the entire earth.

Although we are introduced to a villain the real problem is the birth of a celestial and which event is so big that I don't know how other heores like Doctor Strange doesn't notice this event. Now, I felt that the movie has been an attempt to present certain characters, beyond the ethernos I felt that the real characters they wanted to present were the celestials, even if only a couple of the many celestials that exist were shown.

Y en la escena poscredito aparece cierto personaje que a mi me dejó sorprendido por dos razones, la primera razón es el actor que interpreta el papel del nuevo personaje, y la segunda razón es que jamás me espere que fuese este personaje. Que nada más y nada menos es el hermano de Thanos.

En resumen, siento que la película pudo haber sido mucho mejor. No estoy diciendo que haya sido mala, en verdad a mi me gustó aunque no tanto como lo esperaba. La abundancia de elementos a procesar es tanta que siento que fue una falta de justicia el poco tiempo que de le dedicó a cada elemento.

And in the post-credits scene appears a certain character that left me surprised for two reasons, the first reason is the actor who plays the role of the new character, and the second reason is that I never expected it to be this character. That nothing more and nothing less is the brother of Thanos.

In short, I feel that the movie could have been much better. I'm not saying it was bad, I actually liked it, although not as much as I expected. The abundance of elements to process is so much that I feel it was a lack of justice the little time dedicated to each element.
