Hello my dear friends… Few days ago, when looking for something to watch on Netflix, i saw this and got interested. The name of the movie is The Hunt and its released in 2020. So, its not a totally new movie but not old either. In this post, i will share my thoughts and opinions after watching this movie.
First of all, let me share my love and adore to the main characters, Crystal. She’s a total girl crush. When i start the movie, i have never thought that i will fall in love with a lady character in this kind of movie. She keep her composure even during crisis, having no doubts when she does something, rather than panicking she choose to calmly dissect the situation and try to solve it. In many movies, we can easily find a weak hearted female characters full of compassion and just want to help everybody, or a female characters that keep panicking she ended up being a dead weight during their team survival. I despise that kind of characters the most.
The story itself reminds me of how scary social media can be. Something like rumors, make netizens destroy some people life. In return, they try to make the rumors came true. It was some kind if epic. Since people already making assumptions on their own and can’t accept your truth, why not just make the rumors true. The rumors itself is a scary. It was said that some elite society played a human hunting game for fun. It was not true, but they ended up making it true with their resources. What i don’t understand are, why is it so hard for them to clarify that its not true? I dont think that its impossible to clarify it since they can just show some evidence where they’re when the said hunting game happened and whats really are in the hunting game located. More than anything, they can just pay some people to write some comments to counter the rumors and fight the believer of that rumors in social media. I think its not something so hard to do. But, if they dont choose the extreme way, we will not have this movie.
The 12 chosen people being hunted in the hunting game are people who wrote some bad stuffs in social media about them. Eventhough i feel that its absurd to choose such a extreme way to solve your problems, i like that they give a punishment to the haters that think they can just say whatever they want in internet. They dong think that their words can hurt other people. We saw so kany people like that everyday when we were scrolling through social kedia. The negativity it transferred to me were in insane amount. I always need to cleanse my mind with some good books or musics after being in social media for so long.
Its a good and fun movie to watch, i will rate them 4/5
