Hello my dear friends. After a long and some heart wrenching hours, i finally able to finished the whole episode of The Lies Within. This is a korean drama released in 2019. Its quite some time ago but i just had the chance to watch it. I always love a crime tv series, its my most favorite along with medical tv series. Korean always makes some good crime tv series that i ended up binge watching. The time that i have spent watching this tv series is 7 to 8 hours despite its a 16 episode drama. I have this unique way of watching drama, i love to speed them up and skip some unimportant scene. It was always like that for me. The most important thing in a drama or movie is the storyline, so as long as i can still follow the whole storyline just fine, i am fine with skipping some parts. Watching them in 1,5 x speeds also help to save our time while watching drama.
This is a crime tv series. Right in the beginning, i can tell immediately who’s the villain of the story. I think that i can guess from the first episode. The thing is, the whole story keeps making us going back and forth, making us doubting our first guess. When the story start to flow and revealing it more and more, i make more option about what is the ending of this story gonna be. There’s one option that i made, but this is the last option that i can think about. i put this option really in the last of the line. For me, this option is possible but absolutely weird. How surprising it is that this weird option that I thought is the real plot. I was shocked.
The story is about a lady that lost both her father and husband. She then asked the police for help and while they’re investigating about it, they discover more and more dark truth about the husband’s family. They added the mission of finding the husband to exposing the crime that her father in law have to the world so he can get punished. The gruesome parts about it is that every once in a while they will get some body parts of the husband delivered. Started from the hands, the legs, the eye, and lastly the heart. They’re all severed while the husband is still alive so at least they know that he’s alive and that gives them hope to keep tryna find him.
Anyway, in the end, the husband and his friend do it by themselves. He’s the one that instigated the whole thing because he thought he need to sacrifice himself for the greater good. What a bull. He’s so selfish. Didnt think about her wife that crying everyday trying to find him, the terror that his wife feel to the point that she almost got killed few times. Not only that, there’s one good cop that lost his life trying to solve this case. What did the cop do wrong? He and his plan is so selfish. I have no pity to him die is such a miserable condition. This drama leave such a bad taste in my heart and in my mind. I had a bad mood for the whole day because of it.
