Ben Stone, the perfect husband from Manifest.
Hello my dear friends… Here I will share about a great tv series in Netflix that I have been hooked up into. It’s called Manifest. As someone who travels by airplanes a lot, I feel really close to the story as it tells about passengers and crews of an airlines who travels not only to the destined location, but they also got sent five and a half years later. The passengers and crews didn’t age a day in the airplanes, while the rest of the world keeps going on without them. It’s quite similar to the story of “Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War – End Game” where Thanos blip half of humanity and five years later The Avengers managed to bring them back to reality. You can Imagine how chaotic the dynamic of relationship between the passengers and crews who were presumed lost and dead for more than five years to their families and loved ones who already accepted that they were gone and moving on with their lives. Not only that, the passengers and crews of that airplanes also received a gift, they called it “The Callings” where they saw visions and hear voices in their head about something has yet to happen, they have a power to vaguely predict some future events. Favorite character Again, this won’t be a surprise as my favorite character is Ben Stone as the title suggest, a highly intellectual mathematician professor. Ben stone is a caring family man with a wife, and a twin kids. He was with his son in the flight, his wife and the daughter already travels with earlier flights. While Ben and his son, Cal felt the travels only like a moment, his wife, Grace and daughter, Olive had to go through five and a half years of grievance thinking that they are dead. Grace already went out with another man when Ben and Cal came back. Ben, despite going through all of this he can always keep his composure when he is around his family. He keeps loving his wife and children and always think for what is best for his family, often times he always sacrifices himself for that. The most interesting thing is, he got this duality of personality when he is around his family, and when he is not. When he is with his family he can keeps his cool, he always shows them that he loves them, and he always tries to listen to what they have to say, and provide for them. The duality really shows when he is outside, trying to figure out what has happened to them, and trying every way to find the solutions. He’s short tempered and rushing, sometimes didn’t even think about the consequences. I really wish to have a husband who thinks about my family like him.
