¡Buenas amantes del cine y las buenas películas! ¿Como están? espero de corazón que muy bien, en esta oportunidad vamos a analizar Bliss, estrenada en el 2021, una de esas películas que, bueno, te dejo con unas dudas potentes que te hacen cuestionar la historia, la realidad misma y lo jodido que pueden estar ciertas personas en la realidad, honestamente, creo que seria injusto hacerle una review exhaustiva, porque es mucho más entretenido ver la película primero, sin tener tanta idea de ella y hacerse una idea uno sobre lo que estaba pasando por la mente de nuestro protagonista, sin miedo al éxito, se las recomiendo muy fuerte que la vean, ya que mezcla ciencia ficción con Drama y Amor, Amor de verdad, dicho esto, daré un breve resumen, y despues me ire más a lo que yo creo que fue contando la pelicula, ¡Comencemos!

I sincerely hope very well, this time we are going to analyze Bliss, released in 2021, one of those movies that, well, leave you with some powerful doubts that make you question the story, the reality itself and how fucked up certain people can be in reality, honestly, I think it would be unfair to make an exhaustive review, because it is much more entertaining to watch the movie first, without having so much idea about it and get an idea about what was going on in the mind of our protagonist, without fear of success, I strongly recommend you to see it, because it mixes science fiction with Drama and Love, real Love, that said, I will give a brief summary, and then I will go more to what I think was telling the movie, Let's start!

La película comienza mostrándonos a un oficinista haciendo unos dibujos en su escritorio y que al parecer, no esta muy concentrado en el caos laboral que se esta formando en la empresa con tantos compañeros atiendo diferentes problemas, pronto nos damos cuenta que se llama Greg Wittle, que estuvo casado y que tiene 2 hijos, pero al parecer, esta relación no funciono por alguna razón, se le nota al hombre mucho pesar ya que su hija, intenta convencerlo para que vaya a su graduación, sin embargo, Greg no puede mucho tiempo en linea pues su jefe lo esta lo llamando insistentemente a su oficina, el hombre no parece apurado, ni concentrado por ir a ver a su jefe, tomándose tiempo antes para intentar obtener algún tipo de medicamento, que lamentablemente, la farmacia ya no le puede suministrar, Greg, decepcionado, va a ver su superior, quien a secas, lo despide de la empresa.
The film begins showing us an office worker doing some drawings on his desk and that apparently, is not very focused on the chaos that is forming in the company with so many colleagues attending different problems, soon we realize that his name is Greg Wittle, who was married and has 2 children, but apparently, this relationship did not work for some reason, you can see the man much regret as his daughter, The man does not seem to be in a hurry, nor does he seem focused on going to see his boss, taking time before to try to get some kind of medication, which unfortunately, the pharmacy can no longer supply, Greg, disappointed, goes to see his superior, who, in fact, dismisses him from the company.
De alguna forma nuestro oficinista hace que su jefe se caiga en reversa y prácticamente quede inconsciente en el suelo, Greg, evidentemente se asusta, esconde el cuerpo del hombre sujetándolo en la ventanas y ocultándolo con cortinas y huye del lugar, Greg se va a tomarse un Whiskey en un bar pero una mujer, llamada Isabel llama su atención, y le pregunta si el es consiente de que es "real" algo que confunde a Greg, la chica dice algunas frases cripticas para Greg, pero lo que más destaca, es que ella afirma que nada de hay en este mundo es real, y que todo, es artificial un mundo paralelo creado por ella misma, donde las personas "reales" son capaces de manipular la realidad, no obstante, no pueden hacerlo a su antojo, pues para ello necesitan unos "cristales" que los ayuden a sacar sus poderes, a Greg le cuesta creer toda esta charla pero Isabel demuestra en efecto, que es capaz de controlar ciertas cosas de entorno y esta, lo ayudará con el "mal entendido" que sucedió con su jefe, que todavía se encuentra colgado a las bisagras de la ventana, a la vista del publico, cuando el hombre finalmente accede a seguir algunas ordenes de Isabel, la mujer cumple su palabra haciendo parecer que su jefe, se suicido desde su oficina, pese a ello, Greg se va a la fuga e Isalbel el recomienda que desde ahora se mantenga en el completo anonimato.
Somehow our office worker makes his boss fall backwards and practically unconscious on the floor, Greg, obviously scared, hides the body of the man holding it in the windows and hiding it with curtains and flees the place, Greg is going to take a Whiskey in a bar but a woman, called Isabel calls his attention, and asks him if he is aware that he is "real" something that confuses Greg, the girl says some cryptic phrases for Greg, but what stands out the most, is that she affirms that nothing in this world is real, and that everything is artificial, a parallel world created by herself, where the "real" people are able to manipulate reality, However, they can not do so at will, because they need some "crystals" that help them to get their powers, Greg finds it hard to believe all this talk but Isabel shows indeed, that is able to control certain things around and this will help him with the "misunderstanding" that happened with his boss, When the man finally agrees to follow some of Isabel's orders, the woman keeps her word by making it look like her boss committed suicide from his office, despite this, Greg goes on the run and Isalbel recommends him to remain completely anonymous from now on.
Para ocultarse mientras pasan la investigación de muerte de su jefe, Greg se va a la morada de Isabel que vive como una indigente debajo de las rutas del puente, a lo que Greg mucha simpatía no le causa, pero viendo que no tiene a donde ir ni nadie quien le pueda dar un techo, decide quedarse con la mujer, más tarde se determina que la causa de muerte de su jefe fue suicidio para alegría del ex oficinista, a lo que celebra con Isabel quedandose esa noche, Greg le muestra tambien sus dibujos, aquellos que hacia con tanta insistencia en el trabajo, en el que se muestran varios paisajes y panoramas, sobre lo que destaca una mujer que es practicamente Salma Hayek dibujada en la entrada de una casa, Isabel le dice a Greg que estos dibujos no son una minucia, afirmando que esa vida que el dibuja es una vida real y que esta mujer en el papel, es ella, soltando de una vez que ellos, en verdad, son pareja, Greg se muestra confundido como de costumbre ya, pero decide besar a Isabel por lo que intuyo que acepto la idea, en otro lugar, la hija de Greg insista a su hermano, y le pide ayuda para ubicar a su padre, quien tiene ya algun tiempo que no se comunica con ella, la joven insiste a su hermano en que la apoye en la busqueda pero este se niega afirmando que ya no quiere saber más de el.

Greg abraza su nueva vida como sin hogar en compañía de Isabel, en la que se nos muestra su continuo uso irresponsable de sus poderes y consumiendo estos cristales a cualquier lugar al que vayan, pese a todo, parecen no tener manejarse bien con el dinero, teniendo que recurrir a consumir las sobras de los restaurantes de comida rápida y en el caso de Isabel a la prostitución, aunque nada de esto parece importarle al hombre, después de comer, la chica guía a nuestro protagonista a la morada del hombre que fabrica estos cristales, pero le pide que espere afuera, pero mientras esperaba, su hija, por fin encuentra a su padre, y afirma que ha estado ausente 2 semanas desde la ultima vez que hablo con el, recordandole que su graduación ya paso y rompiendole el alma a su hija al ver la visible desorientación de nuestro protagonista.

Greg toma la foto que le entrego su hija previamente, e intenta contactarla desde un teléfono publico sin éxito, sin embargo, al volver, se encuentra a una Isabel desconsolada, pensando esta misma que Greg que la había abandonado, ella descubre que intento comunicarse con su hija, recordandole otra vez al protagonista que ella no es real, pero desatando por fin la ira de Greg, diciéndole que no puede creer aun en todas sus palabras pues no ha visto aun una realidad diferente a la que conoce, cuestionando las afirmaciones de Isabel, por ende, esta decide utilizar unos cristales azules, sumamente escasos pero necesarios, según ella, para salir de la "simulación" y volver al mundo de verdad.

En el mundo "real" ambos, tanto Isabel como Greg, son doctores aunque Isabel es la encargada de un proyecto denominado como "Caja Mental" una especie de simulación en la que se viven penurias con tal de apreciar lo que se tiene en la realidad, donde prácticamente, esta viviendo una utopía de ciencia ficción donde todo lo que parecía estar mal con el mundo se ha visto exterminado gracias al progreso humano y al descubrimiento de nuevas tecnologías, pese a todo, Greg disfruta como nunca su vida en pareja, pero cuando llega el momento de ayudar a Isabel con este proyecto para que salga adelante empieza a tener "visiones" del mundo ficticio, en el que se muestra varias veces a su hija e incluso, llegan a sostener una conversación en la que esta intenta evocar recuerdo a Greg sobre la vida que vivió con su hija, a su alrededor, empieza a mezclarse elementos del mundo ficticio con el mundo real llegando a ser todo un autentico caos, para Arreglarlo, isabel propone volver al mundo ficticio a tomar la dosis correcta de cristales pues ambos salieron de la "simulación" de manera muy forzada, cosa que explicaría en teoría, el porque ambos mundos se están mezclando, según Isabel al menos.
In the "real" world both Isabel and Greg are doctors, although Isabel is in charge of a project called "Mental Box" a kind of simulation in which they live hardships in order to appreciate what they have in reality, where practically, is living in a science fiction utopia where everything that seemed to be wrong with the world has been exterminated thanks to human progress and the discovery of new technologies, despite everything, Greg enjoys his life as a couple as never before, but when the time comes to help Isabel with this project to move forward, he begins to have "visions" of the fictional world, in which his daughter is shown several times and they even have a conversation in which she tries to evoke Greg's memories about the life he lived with his daughter, around them, elements of the fictional world start to mix with the real world becoming a real chaos, to fix it, Isabel proposes to return to the fictional world to take the right dose of crystals because both left the "simulation" in a very forced way, which would explain in theory, why both worlds are mixing, according to Isabel at least.
De vuelta al mundo ficticio, Isabel, va a por todas por los cristales sin importarle en lo mas mínimo la integridad de la gente a su alrededor a lo cual a todo lo justifica como personas irreales, roba, un auto, roba un arma, y amenaza al fabricador de cristales para que le entregue lo que tenga inmediatamente, por desgracia, el encuentro resulta en que Isabel, asesina al hombre pero consigue hacerse con la dosis necesaria para escapar correctamente, o eso era lo que creía, pues al ser necesario 10 para que cada uno escape, solo alcanza para 1 de ellos para que vuelva al mundo real, Isabel tiene una crisis pues no sabe que hacer, a lo que Greg, despues de una pausada reflexión, le indica que el sera el que se quede, ya que a pesar de todo, aunque el mundo se vea como una mierda horrenda, aun así, es hermoso, por lo imprevisible del mismo, por lo aleatorio y porque nunca se sabe que pasara mañana, Isabel, no lo cuestiona y finalmente, toman su decisión de separarse.
Back in the fictitious world, Isabel, goes all out for the crystals without caring in the least about the integrity of the people around her to which she justifies everything as unreal people, steals a car, steals a gun, and threatens the manufacturer of crystals to deliver what he has immediately, unfortunately, the encounter results in Isabel, kills the man but manages to get the dose needed to escape properly, or so she thought, Isabel has a crisis because she does not know what to do, to which Greg, after a paused reflection, tells her that he will be the one to stay, because in spite of everything, although the world looks like a horrendous shit, even so, it is beautiful, because of its unpredictability, its randomness and because you never know what will happen tomorrow, Isabel, does not question it and finally, they make their decision to separate.
La película termina con Greg, deambulando por las calles, hasta que entra a una clínica de rehabilitación, y tomando usa sesión de grupo, en el que solo muestra la foto que le entrego su hija, pero dejando caer que el no parece conocerla pero que cree en lo que ella dice, un tiempo después, se nos muestra, como un mejorado Greg, vuelve a encontrarse con su hija y estando finalmente más consciente de sus acciones y de el mundo que lo rodea, terminando la película.
The film ends with Greg, wandering the streets, until he enters a rehabilitation clinic, and taking a group session, in which he only shows the photo that his daughter gave him, but letting slip that he does not seem to know her but believes in what she says, some time later, we are shown, as an improved Greg, returns to meet his daughter and finally being more aware of his actions and the world around him, ending the film.

A primera vista, parece que nada tiene sentido y que simplemente Greg o esta loco o tiene un problema, pero honestamente la película trata muchos temas muy originales, empezando por el descenso hacia las drogas, la indigencia y el como pueden percibir el mundo aquellos que tienen un problema mental bastante serio, Greg durante casi toda la pelicula, lo vemos muy desorientado, casi nunca haciendo cosas por voluntad propia y siempre guiado por esta mujer, que lo lleva a hacer todo de tipo de acciones que el normalmente no se le ocurría hacer, excusada, segun la misma en sus poderes y en que nada es real, nada existe, solo el, ella, unos cuantos más y ya.
At first glance, it seems that nothing makes sense and that Greg is either crazy or has a problem, but honestly the film deals with many very original themes, starting with the descent into drugs, homelessness and how the world can be perceived by those who have a very serious mental problem, Greg during most of the movie, we see him very disoriented, almost never doing things by his own will and always guided by this woman, who leads him to do all kinds of actions that he normally would not think of doing, excused, according to her in her powers and that nothing is real, nothing exists, just him, her, a few others and that's it.
Pero más que centrarnos en el misterios del protagonista, de quien si tenemos varias cosas claras, la incognita, proviene más directamente del personaje de Salma Hayek, Isabel, no se muy bien que creer o no de Isabel, porque a ratos, parece alguien que efectivamente esta fuera del sistema pero después, su personalidad va variando a lo largo de la cinta, mostrándose insegura, erratica, impulsiva, llegando ademas a manipular varias veces al protagonista para que le siga el juego, Greg casi nunca cuestiona Isabel y su desaparición al final deja todo como si fuera una despedida para un nunca jamas, es curioso, porque lo que yo creo es que Isabel, en realidad, es una representación de amor a las drogas de Greg o un Alter Ego si prefieren, que bajo los efectos de las mismas, siente que puede cambiar la realidad a su antojo, tal vez en verdad el personaje si real por las distintas intervenciones que tiene la misma, pero muchas dudas me quedan de esta afirmación, a que ella, simplemente desaparece hacia el final de la película, casi dejando clarisimo que esto representa el adiós a este tipo de vida que esta llevando Owen Wilson, osea Greg, hasta ahora.

Another character who doesn't get as much screen time but is a crucial part of the story is his daughter, Emily, who is constantly trying to bring her father to his senses, trying to bring him back to reality and get him out of that world, however, as he is not in his right mind, she tries not to force his return in a violent way preferring to take the long route, until at some point her father comes to his senses, which she holds on to so tightly that it eventually has an effect on our protagonist's deteriorated mind.
Creo que Bliss es una excelente película, una que trata un tema tan complejo como los problemas mentales, las drogas, y la deformación de la realidad, hay varios detalles que omití, como el hecho de que si prestamos atención, podremos ver continuas referencias a donde terminara la película, que en el centro de rehabilitación o guiños a en el ambiente hay cosas raras o que no cuadran del todo, me parece una película muy entretenida, una extraña historia de amor, que en este caso termino con una reconciliación con la persona que siempre se preocupo por el protagonista, muy recomendada mis panas.
I think Bliss is an excellent film, one that deals with such a complex subject as mental problems, drugs, and the deformation of reality, there are several details that I omitted, such as the fact that if we pay attention, we can see continuous references to where the film will end, that in the rehabilitation center or winks to in the environment there are strange things or that do not fit at all, I find a very entertaining film, a strange love story, which in this case ended with a reconciliation with the person who always cared for the protagonist, highly recommended my friends.
