¡Buenas buenas mis panas amantes de las películas! espero de corazón que se encuentren muy bien y con ganas de ver una historia que entrega referencias de distintos autores y aunque no exactamente "La joya infravalorada" que tanto uno insiste en buscar, si creo que es una película que mínimo, te hace interesarte por sus misterios y por su trama, que no es tan genérica y que guarda además un par de sorpresas para los conocedores de religiones paganas y de las sectas, estrenada en 2017, The Ritual, nos pone como espectadores de un grupo de amigos que irán a las montañas suecas para recordar al quinto integrante que falleció en un trágico asalto, desde este punto se irán sentando las bases de la historia ¡Por lo que es momento de comenzar!

Un grupo de amigos como cualquier otro disfruta de tomarse unas copas en un bar cercano, y allí se intuye que están decidiendo donde pasar las próximas vacaciones, no obstante uno de ellos, no se encuentra muy satisfecho con el destino a donde quieren ri el resto, por lo que decide ir a comprar más licor, como uno de ellos no quiere hacerlo sentir mal ni excluirlo del grupo, lo acompaña, resultando en que la tienda en la que entraron, estaba siendo asaltada por un grupo bastante violento, sin embargo, aquel estaba comprando licor, se esconde mientras su amigo es el que tiene que hacer frente a los atracadores, que bueno, mucho no puede hacer que darles sus cosas para que la situación no escale y eso mismo hace, hasta que los criminales también le exigen el anillo, cosa a la que se niega en rotundo a entregar, recibiendo un batazo en el cráneo y muriendo tras sus heridas a los ojos de su cobarde amigo, 6 meses despues, vemos al grupo, rindiendome homenaje a su difunto miembro en lo alto de las montañas de Suecia y con un ambiente tenso entre todos, pues se nota que uno en particular, piensa que nuestro protagonista, debió hacer algo más que solo esconderse, pero no revelándolo en voz alta hasta más tarde.

Y es así, porque justamente en estos arboles, se dejan indicios bastante claros de que mínimo, hay una secta que esta muy interesada en destripar animales, colgarlos de los arboles y rendir pleitesia a una especie de dios u entidad pagana, o al menos, esa es una de las tantas conjeturas que se pueden sacar, pues la verdad hay pocos indicios de que es lo pasa realmente, y mucho menos cuando cada integrante del grupo, empieza a tener episodios y alucinaciones al mismo tiempo y en la misma noche, que en el caso de nuestro protagonista, vuelva a soñar otra vez con la muerte de su amigo cuando compraban licor, a partir de este punto, todo se ira deteriorando, tanto la salud mental de cada uno de los integrantes del grupo, como su fuerza física y sus endebles relaciones que cada vez parecen ponerse más a prueba.

Aunque la película no inventa la rueda con su concepto (Bruja de Blair, Descenso aunque esta ultima aun la tengo que ver) tiene la particularidad de enfocarse un poco más en la perdida y la culpa expresadas a través de los ojos de nuestro protagonista y de opinión que tiene sus amigos de el, creo que hay se hizo algo muy bueno, otro detalle que me encanta que incluyan en las películas, es la inclusión de brujería, sectas o cultos en una historia, de verdad, creo que su concepto siempre le ha hecho muy bien a las películas de terror y da pie a que se cuenten historias bastante originales y llamativas, lamentablemente, creo que aquí se desperdicia más de lo que me gustaría ese potencial, Lo que si se aprovecho y ocn ganas fue el ambiente, la tensión y la "razon" de todos los episodios paranormales de nuestros protagonistas, diria más si esto fueran spoilers pero el caso es que esto se trabaja de manera adecuada, lo que hace que te mantengas interesado en que o quien es el que causa estas cosas.
Although the film does not invent the wheel with its concept (Blair Witch, Descent, although I have yet to see the latter) it has the particularity of focusing a little more on the loss and guilt expressed through the eyes of our protagonist and the opinion that his friends have of him, I think there was something very good, Another detail that I love to include in the movies, is the inclusion of witchcraft, cults or cults in a story, really, I think their concept has always done very well to horror movies and gives rise to tell stories quite original and striking, unfortunately, I think that here is wasted more than I would like that potential, What they did take advantage of and with desire was the atmosphere, the tension and the "reason" of all the paranormal episodes of our protagonists, I would say more if this were spoilers but the case is that this is worked in a proper way, which makes you stay interested in what or who is causing these things.

Por desgracia, con todo lo bueno que tiene la película, no creo que le alcance para estar en mis favoritas, tiene bastantes sus un poco mediocres, una justificación para pasar por el bosque inexistente, es decir pasas por el bosque solo para recortar camino, sin tomar en cuenta todos los peligros que podrían haber, sumado a que llevando a alguien herido es mucho mejor ir por un camino fijado que por colinas y tierra que podrían empeorar la situación, me hubiese gustado que los o el causante de los eventos hubiese intervenido mucho más y con otro objetivo diferente, esto tranquilamente pudo haber sido una especie de Silent Hill comprimido en el bosque pero esa idea se pierde a medida que ya vas por el tramo final, creo que si se pudo hacer un poquito más pero bueno, tampoco le voy a pedir que sea un excelsior a esta película, mi recomendación es que vayas con unas expectativas bajas y después te quedes con las revelaciones que esas si valen la pena.
