Es gratificante volver a ver a una de mis actrices favoritas en la gran pantalla, sé que esperé mucho para verla pero es que siempre salía algo y la posponía, pero ahora sí puedo dejarles mis opiniones al respecto:

| Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), fue la reportera que conectó los asesinos y dió a conocer la historia de este asesino serial. Ella y su compañera Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), desafiaron las reglas en ese momento por ser las únicas mujeres en dedicarse a la investigación criminal e informar sobre el asesino más notorio de ese momento.

| Loretta trabajaba para la columna del hogar, pero siempre quiso dedicarse a investigaciones más serias en el ámbito criminal, un departamento liderado por hombres. Los homicidios de varias mujeres realizados con un mismo patrón le permiten entrar en esta columna en la que su jefe le asigna a una compañera para realizar el trabajo.

Loretta used to work for the household column, but always wanted to pursue more serious investigations in the criminal field, a department headed by men. The homicides of several women carried out with the same pattern allow her to enter this column where her boss assigns her a female partner to do the job. |

🎬 Lo bueno y lo no tan bueno | The good and the not so good
| Tomando en cuenta la época descrita en esta historia, me parece que hicieron un gran trabajo en lo visual y la escenografía, los detalles utilizados, los vestuarios de época, y las interpretaciones estuvieron muy bien, destaco la de Keira Knightley porque me gusta bastante como actriz, pero en general todos hicieron un gran trabajo. Otro punto a su favor fue mostrar con más profundidad el trabajo periodístico y todo lo que tiene que ver con esta profesión.

Taking into account the era described in this story, I think they did a great job in the visuals and scenery, the details used, the period costumes, and the performances were very good, I highlight Keira Knightley's because I quite like her as an actress, but in general everyone did a great job. Another point in its favor was to show in more depth the journalistic work and everything that has to do with this profession. |

| La historia como tal es bastante interesante, y la abordaron desde el punto de vista de estas dos reporteras, por lo que fue una narración un poco más lenta, no tan profunda, pero igual nos muestra más detalles del caso y de los sospechosos involucrados. Algo que tengo que agregar es el hecho de que dejan entrever que estos asesinatos no los hizo una sola persona, que hubo imitadores, que la policía de Boston cometió errores y no hubo suficiente comunicación entre las demás estaciones. |
The story as such is quite interesting, and they approached it from the point of view of these two reporters, so it was a little slower, not as deep, but it still shows us more details of the case and the suspects involved. Something I have to add is the fact that they hint that these murders were not done by one person, that there were copycats, that the Boston police made mistakes and there was not enough communication between the other stations. |

| Que al convertirse en un caso mediático la presión de conseguir al culpable era más fuerte y no importaba si realmente atrapaban al correcto con tal de que alguien estuviera preso por estos homicidios (como en muchos otros casos). Me gustó este film, no es el mejor de este género pero sin duda lo disfruté y opino que el verdadero culpable nunca fue atrapado.

That by becoming a media case the pressure to get the culprit was stronger and it didn't matter if they really caught the right one as long as someone was in jail for these murders (as in many other cases). I liked this film, it is not the best of this genre but I certainly enjoyed it and I think the real culprit was never caught. |
