There are movies that I usually have to see several times to figure out if I liked them or not, that is to say sometimes I see a movie for the first time and I am not very convinced but when I see it for the second and third times I like it and entertains me more, well, with American Made happens exactly that. This is a film that I saw in the cinema a few days after its premiere and that the truth did not convince me much, I do not say that I have considered it bad, only that I found it very empty in content, however now that HBO constantly broadcasts it I have seen it again and I liked it as never before, I find all the atmosphere that they built around the story extremely entertaining.

Barry Seal worked as a pilot for various government organizations collecting information on enemies and problematic territories that were of interest to the United States, while also making furtive deliveries of weapons to different subversive forces operating in Central America, and was also one of the main pilots used by Pablo Escobar to transport all kinds of loads to the United States. Basically, this man was the perfect messenger for the evil elites of the United States and the most powerful mafias of the time.

That's why the film has as its main focus the relationship of this pilot with all these organizations, and especially how was his life in a small town that he basically turned into his private vault because there he had distributed all his money, money that was so much that he did not know what to do with it, however, what you do with so much money when you are unable to spend it quietly. The most shocking thing about the film is that it lets us explore the connections and secret relationships that this man had, a man who despite having been caught by different security agencies always came out free because he was a very valuable asset for the American elites. A man who rubbed shoulders with all kinds of people but ultimately his vocation to say yes to all the missions he was assigned ended up turning him into the main objective of different organizations that ended up killing him.

# Personal Opinion.

The film has an excellent rhythm and tells us the facts in a very entertaining and fun way, especially because the story is so full of things that if you tell it very quickly is difficult to grasp everything, however the rhythm goes very smoothly, we never get lost and the movie always keep us focused on the main plot through third-person interventions of the protagonist himself who is often responsible for explaining things that are happening. We never get bored and on the contrary we constantly find surprises in the story that make it more entertaining, we constantly see how the creators manage to combine dramatic elements with scenes and comic dialogues that soften many tense atmospheres that constantly appear in the plot.
It is very interesting to see how a man was able to take advantage of the tools that the American government gave him to do his reconnaissance missions and use them to serve as a "mule" for some of the most famous and powerful capos who have emerged from Colombia, all to get hundreds of millions of dollars, which he was never able to spend.

I really enjoyed the movie a lot, although at the beginning it didn't convince me much I ended up finding it extremely exciting and above all funny, it has great comedy scenes that constantly season the stressful moments that Barry Seal faces, and oh God the use of the scenes and technical resources is perfectly implemented, we don't see any failure or defect in the settings, everything is placed with the maximum detail to give a turn of greater quality to the story so that we can transport ourselves to an era full of nuances and where different political conflicts were developing at the same time.
