Originally from France, this movie is one of the best I've seen. Based on a true story that includes an autobiographical book by Philippe Pozzo di Borgoel, with which he leaves us a great message and teachings.
When I saw this movie for the first time it was in its original language with subtitles, I was just entering the world of the French language and I understood very few of the words they said; listening to the language helps a lot with learning.
Philippe (François Cluzet), is a multimillionaire man, who can have anything he pleases, adventurer at heart and soul, but after an accident he had unfortunately becomes disabled and in a wheelchair. Later, they hire Driss to take care of Philippe and take him to the places he wants to go, because due to his condition he cannot move by himself and needs a lot of help.
Driss (Omar Sy) a young African-American boy with various personal problems; and despite his background there was something about him that caught Philippe's attention so he decided to give him a month's trial, and although he thought he would only resist half that time, with his different way of taking care of Philippe and after passing the tests he was hired.
Driss had no experience whatsoever in the area of care, let alone of a disabled person, he came from an average family and had just been released from prison, so at first he has several difficulties adapting to that new world, especially seeing all the care that phillipe required.
Stubbornness is an ally of both men and so several problems arise, but in the end they are solved. Phillippe becomes fond of Driss and his way of being, on the other hand Phillipe ends up gaining the respect of the man who would become his best friend, because beyond seeing each other as a boss-employee relationship, they see each other as two great friends. So much so that they help each other to face the different adverse circumstances of their lives.
The part that I found most interesting or I liked the most was when Driss does not abandon Philippe and makes him get out of his sad reality through outings together to have fun, the part where the classical music band is playing at Philippe's birthday and Driss suggests him another type of music more moving and less boring, the face that some people made of indignation was very funny as they are used to formality and politeness.
The loyalty of friends is very important and in this story we can see how that virtue develops. I loved in this film that they expressed the feelings of male friends without any awkwardness, that they felt free to love their friend as part of their family.
Undoubtedly directors Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano along with the great performances of François Cluzet and Omar Sy managed to adapt this beautiful story very well into a fantastic and well developed film, showing the problems of each character, the contrast of their lives and personalities and being this ironically what achieves a suitable environment for an extraordinary friendship.

Original de Francia, esta película es una de las mejores que he visto. Basada en una historia real que incluye un libro autobiográfico de Philippe Pozzo di Borgoel, con el cual nos deja un gran mensaje y enseñanzas.
Cuando vi esta película por primera vez fue en su idioma original con subtítulos, yo estaba entrando apenas en el mundo del idioma Francés y comprendía muy pocas de las palabras que decían; escuchar el idioma ayuda mucho con el aprendizaje.
Philippe (François Cluzet), es un hombre multimillonario, quien puede tener todo lo que se le plazca, aventurero de corazón y alma, pero tras un accidente que tuvo lamentablemente queda discapacitado y en silla de ruedas. Más adelante, contratan a Driss para que cuide de Philippe y lo lleve a los lugares que este desee ya que por su condición él no puede moverse por sí solo y necesita de mucha ayuda.
Driss (Omar Sy) un chico joven, afroamericano, con diversos problemas personales; y a pesar de su procedencia hubo algo en él que llamó mucho la atención de Philippe por lo que decidió darle un mes de prueba, y aunque pensaba que solo resistiría la mitad de ese tiempo, con su manera tan diferente de cuidar a Phillipe y luego de pasar las pruebas fue contratado.
Driss no tenía ningún tipo de experiencia en el área de cuidados y mucho menos de una persona discapacitada, venía de una familia promedio y acababa de salir de la carcel, por lo cual al principio tiene varias dificultades para adaptarse a ese nuevo mundo, en especial al ver todo el cuidado que requería phillipe.
La terquedad es aliada de ambos hombres y por ello surgen varios problemas, pero al final son resueltos. Phillippe llega a encariñarse con Driss y su manera de ser, por otro lado Phillipe termina ganándose el respeto de quien pasaría a ser su mejor amigo, pues más allá de verse como una relación jefe - empleado se ven como dos grandes amigos. Tanto que entre ambos se ayudan a afrontar de las diferentes circunstancias adversas de sus vidas.
La parte que me pareció más interesante o me gusto más fue cuando Driss no abandona a Philippe y lo hace salir de su triste realidad a través de salidas juntos a divertirse, la parte donde la banda de música clásica está tocando en el cumpleaños de Philippe y Driss le sugiere otro tipo más movido de música y menos aburrida, la cara que pusieron algunos de indignación fue muy graciosa pues ellos están acostumbrados a la formalidad y cortesía.
La lealtad de los amigos es muy importante y en esta historia podemos ver cómo se va desarrollando esa virtud. Amé en esta película que expresaran los sentimientos de los amigos hombres sin ninguna incomodidad, que se sintieran libres de querer a su amigo como parte de su familia.
Sin duda alguna los directores Olivier Nakache y Eric Toledano junto con las grandiosas actuaciones de François Cluzet y Omar Sy lograron adapatar muy bien esta hermosa historia a un fantastico filme muy bien desarrollado, mostrando los problemas de cada personaje, el contraste de sus vidas y personalidades y siendo esto irónicamente lo que logra un ambiente adecuado para una extraordinaria amistad.
