Mi primer verano, es una película del año 2020, que nos muestra la vida de Claudia y Grace. Claudia es una chica que vive aislada de la sociedad por influencia de su madre; a diferencia de Grace, que es todo lo contrario, una chica extrovertida, muy risueña y sensible.

Grace y Claudia se conocen debido a la muerte de la madre de Claudia; ésta se suicida ahogándose en un lago delante de su hija y Grace ve todo, Claudia se da cuenta de que Grace evidenció lo que pasó y decide huir. Al día siguiente, Grace va a la casa de Claudia para ver si está ahí y decide hablarle, pero ésta se encuentra muy confundida y triste obviamente, pero aún así Grace trata de consolarle y hablarle.

How do Grace and Claudia know each other?

Grace and Claudia meet due to the death of Claudia's mother; Claudia's mother commits suicide by drowning herself in a lake in front of her daughter and Grace sees everything, Claudia realizes that Grace evidenced what happened and decides to run away. The next day, Grace goes to Claudia's house to see if she is there and decides to talk to her, but Claudia is very confused and sad obviously, but still Grace tries to comfort her and talk to her.

Al momento de morir la madre de Claudia, ésta quedó sola en el mundo, pues sólo vivía con ella y su perra. Claudia no sabía de la existencia de mas familiares o si contaba con ellos, entonces ella temía de que las autoridades supieran de su existencia, la encontraran y la llevaran a un hogar de paso u orfanato.

Why does Claudia run away when Grace sees her if she had nothing to do with her mother's death?

When Claudia's mother died, she was left alone in the world, living with only her mother and her dog. Claudia did not know of the existence of any other relatives or if she had any, so she feared that the authorities would know of her existence, find her and take her to a foster home or orphanage.

Grace se encarga de ella mientras está ahí, la cuida, le da de comer, la entretiene, le cambia la vida en poco tiempo y hace todo lo posible por hacerla sentir especial y mas que todo para que no se sienta sola.

If Claudia depended only on her mother, how could she survive on her own?

Grace takes care of her while she is there, takes care of her, feeds her, entertains her, changes her life in a short time and does everything possible to make her feel special and most of all so she doesn't feel alone.

Bueno, aquí se toca un punto muy importante y es que Grace se siente con la necesidad de ayudarla porque se da cuenta por lo que pasa, entiende que para Claudia su mamá era su mundo y está traumatizada y deprimida por lo que le sucedió; sabe que en cualquier momento puede quitarse la vida y le preocupa.

A pesar de que Grace vive con sus padres siente que no cuenta con ellos para nada, por ello busca ayudar a la única persona que puede convertirse en alguien especial para ella.

Why does Grace empathize so much with Claudia if she barely knows her?

Well, here we touch on a very important point and that is that Grace feels the need to help her because she realizes what she is going through, she understands that for Claudia her mother was her world and she is traumatized and depressed by what happened to her; she knows that at any moment she could take her own life and she is worried about it.

Even though Grace lives with her parents, she feels she can't count on them for anything, so she tries to help the only person who can become someone special to her.

En definitiva, se hacen muy amigas, pasan mucho tiempo juntas y Grace se encarga de enseñarle como funciona al mundo al rededor de ella, temas como el amor, la amistad y la sexualidad salen a flote. Mantienen una linda relación de amigas que con el tiempo se convierte en algo más a pesar de las dificultades por las que pasan: discusiones, tiempo y personas externas.

Does Claudia become someone special to Grace?
