Released on Netflix last year (2021) Inside Job, an adult animated series from the creators of Gravity Falls, is about an organization called Cognito Inc, which is dedicated to controlling the world from the shadows in the United States, making every conspiracy theory you've ever heard of, real.
The series is about a world that is ruled by reptilians, the earth is not necessarily flat, it is just hollow and it turns out that monsters and aliens live inside it; but, to manage all these weird situations and maintain a strict system of mind control in the world's population, it takes the organization mentioned above (Cognito Inc), which provides all the tools to the power behind the power to continue dominating the world quietly from the shadows.
Each episode shows many of the theories we know, such as: Mk Ultra, the existence of the Illuminati, the assassination of John F Kennedy, among others, but, all wrapped in a humorous and one can even say that burlesque tone, so that when the general public (that is us) see it, they think that the theme of conspiracy and mystery is only something fantastic and mocking.
Inside Job depicts real work problems with a great character creation. The protagonist Reagan is a very unique personality, she is a great scientist who has to lead the whole company so that the thin fabric that divides the world from her reality does not break, besides she also has to deal with her alcoholic father who at one time was the leader of the company and to top it off, her workers are also a struggle for her since they do not appreciate her even a little bit.
The other characters are fun and interesting, making a great cast to bring out social criticisms left and right. Reagan is able to sustain her life through her only friendship, Brett, whose personality is unclear.
The series is very good with a fresh concept at a time when this type of comedy is no longer scarce to find, leading the public to adopt a more critical eye and be able to distinguish between the best series in the catalog to suit their taste.
Finally, the only thing I didn't like was that the use of so many references saturates the story and loses the line, I give it a rating of 9.5 for that.
