"Shark Night" by David R. Ellis - movie review

Review by @godflesh · 2870d · of Shark Night

Let me tell you why this movie is not happening! I start in a little untraditional and unnecessarily descriptive way, but suffer only a little, it will not take long to get to the revelation. First, surprising for this kind of movie, "Shark Night" begins with the inscriptions, not with the usual teaser in which the first innocent victim, who usually has no connection with the rest of the story, dies. At this stage, I'm a little excited because hey, we have an attempt to break the clichés, even they are unimportant.

I'm still excited when I see that breaking the clichés is just about putting the teaser behind the inscriptions - and I know what it is because I've seen the trailer and the lady that we see is not part of the movie. And I'm excited because we're focused on a very nice female . And this, ladies and gentlemen, is part of what's all about in these movies. Following are shark shots, which, surprisingly, are her friend. And here comes the moment when a red light comes on. The girl's boyfriend drops the top of her swimsuit, throws her away and goes to get something from the camper, and she swims beside him and wears it for a moment without seeing naked female breasts. And then, in the mandatory greeting to Jaws, he dies in a bunch of red bubbles that do not see anything.

If you have not figured out what kind of conclusion it is all about, let me tell you . "Shark Night" is * "horror" without tits, without "gore", with nothing. And as a cover of everything, not only it is not fun, it is also taken seriously and even attempts to "examine" some social themes, such as people's perceptions of the "horror" that floods us everywhere, what gets up and looks at internet, who benefits from all the work, and so on. Who nowadays makes serious "horror" shark thrillers in which thirty-year-old college kids are shuffling and are called Shark Night , and there is no gore and no fun? Or are they not crawling with obscene action? I

I think if at this stage you do not see a problem in the whole thing, even if I tell you the whole storyline full of clichés, the one-dimensional images, the love dramas, the present and the past, the "surprising twists", the bloody effects... - I still will not be able to convince you that there is anything wrong with the movie. For this reason, I will not do it, I just do not see meaning. For the final I will say that ultimately everyone decides for themselves whether to watch a movie or not, and although I am totally disappointed, ibut I know people that are satisfied with this movie, people - for example, that there is everything behind cause, and not just a man against nature - so why not get things at you? And now you know what to expect.

Since I now live in Florida and frequent the beach I understand the reality of sharks and their attacks.

That being said. Sharks a lot friendlier than the ones you see in a Hollywood film.

Most people who have swam in the ocean have swam withing a few yards of sharks and never noticed.

The main reason why sharks attack people is because of 3 reasons.

    1. Sharks were fed by fisherman close to the shore so when they see people they expect to get fed... when they don't they already have their hunger mode on and they attack the closest thing they can bite into... humans. Which they typically don't like to eat and usually only take a bite. Hence why there are a lot of people who have survived shark attacks but are missing a chunk where the shark "tasted" them.

    2. Sharks have a 6th sense so to speak when it comes to blood. When there is blood in the water, the sharks are sent on a feeding frenzy and will literally eat just about anything floating near them... including tires.

    3. They are protecting their territory. If you swin near where a shark "lives" or where they plan to reproduce. You pose a potential threat to their and their offspring's well being. This could result in them warning you by bumping you or even attacking you to drive you away.

In conclusion, sharks are just as dangerous as people's misunderstanding and lack of education. The film industry has obviously capitalized on this and brought in big bucks by using sharks in horror films.

Sad to see another bad shark movie.... although I can't say I am not surprised.

Sorry you wasted time and money seeing a disappointing film. (Everything I wrote here is personal opinion from experience nothing scientific)
