Coco (whose real name is Juan Villegas and who assumes the same name as the actor) is a 52-year-old laborer who has worked all his life in a service station in a very little-traveled place in the Argentine Patagonia.
At a certain moment, the owner of the service station sells it and "Coco" is left in the street, without a job, since the new owners do not want to take him on because of his age.
A little because of his age, and a little because of his lack of education, he begins to despair because he knows that it will be very difficult for him to find a new job.
However, fate has many twists and turns and in the least expected way he finds the possibility of earning a living.
The opportunity arises when an old widow asks him to fix her old car (Coco also knows something about mechanics) but as she has money to pay him she wants to give him her dog as a token of affection and gratitude.
The dog is a stupendous Dogo Argentino that turns out to be a real gold mine and will open the doors to the dog show business.
However, at a certain moment, "Coco" begins to show a real dichotomy in his conscience: although he treats the animal very well, he does not consider it fair to use it for a living.
On the other hand, he feels humiliated in his manly way of understanding the life of being kept by a dog.
Between irony and a bit of justly dosed humor he will find the solution to be at peace with himself and his conscience while keeping his love for his dog unchanged.
Most of the characters used in the film are non-professional, which further enhances the result of this great film.

Beyond gestures that could be interpreted as melodramatic, the film develops in a warm atmosphere of human understanding where everything has its fair value. Even Bombón, the dog.
