After a certain period of time the inhabitants begin to suffer from skin and respiratory diseases, they die of cancer, babies are born with malformations, plants begin to dry up due to the use of agrochemicals and the fauna itself begins to become extinct little by little.
A local doctor, oblivious to the pressures and interests of the multinational, tests several patients and finds that their illnesses are caused by the indiscriminate use of toxic agro-chemicals, making the corresponding denunciation and making the inhabitants and employees of the lumber company aware of the danger they are running.
The foreman himself, in love with the local schoolteacher, must struggle between his feelings and the preservation of his job.
In the end, common sense will prevail.
Pierre (interpretado por el actor belga Geert Van Rampelberg), es un capataz extranjero de una multinacional maderera multinacionalen la provincia de Misiones (Agentina) que explota la tala -indiscriminada-de bosques y la reforestación a través de diversas variedades de plantaciones de pinos de rápido desarrollo gracias el uso de potentes agro-tóxicos.
Después de un cierti tiempo los habitantes comienzan a sufrir enfermedades de la piel, respiratorias, mueren de cáncer, los bebés nacen con malformaciones, las plantas comienzan a secarse por el uso de agroquímicos y la fauna misma comienza a extinguirse de a poco.
Un mádico local, ajeno a las presiones e intereses de la multinacional, efectúa los análisis a diversos pacientes y constata que sus enfermedades son producidas por el uso indiscriminado de los agrotóxicos, efectuando la denuncia correspondiente y sensibilizando a los propios habitantes y empleados de la maderera del peligro que corren.
El mismo capataz, enamorado de la maestra de la escuela local, debe luchar entre sus sentimientos y la conservación del puesto de trabajo.
Al final prevalecerá el sentido común.

In a very questioned subject and pressured by very strong economic interests, director Vignatti manages to make a film of environmental denunciation with some documentary cinema and a romantic plot necessary to "dilute" a little the content of the plot.
The main objective, that of denunciation, I think it fulfills it, although some critics argue that the film could have taken a much more radical position.
The performances are credible even though the actors are quite unknown and the idea of raising awareness among the population, in those sectors that remain on the fringes of the problem (for example those living in big cities) is realized in a film shot with very few resources, with little-known actors and with a fairly decent final result.
En un tema muy cuestionado y presionado por intereses económicos muy fuertes el director Vignatti logra hacer una película de denuncia ambiental con algo del cine documental y una trama romántica necesaria para "diluir" un poco el contenido de la trama.
El objetivo principal, el de la denuncia, creo que lo cumple aunque algunos críticos sostienen que la película podría haber adoptado una posición mucho más radical.
Las actuaciones son creíbles aunque se trate de actores bastante desconocidos y la idea de concientizar la población, en aquellos sectores que quedan al margen del problema (por ejemplo los que viven en las grandes ciudades) se concretiza en una película filmada con muy pocos recursos, con actores poco conocidos y con un resultado final bastante digno.
