Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Wild and crazy comedic variation of the well known James Bond movies finally got a sequel out and its everything you would expect. Bizarre and even more exaggerated version of the first movie did not disappoint us!

If you’re drowning in nostalgia from good old Bond movies before the „Craig era“ you will definetly like both the first and second movie as Matthew Vaughn managed to resurrect those times with massive dose of hyperbolic ideas. Brutality, incorrect and provocative scenes really made the transition of this move into this age smooth.

You need to see the first movie

It is very important as the story picks up where it left off. Eggsy’s master and mentor Harry Hart was shot in the head so He took his „spy name“ Galahad and is now living with a princes Tilde as his girlfriend. Together with Roxy and Merlin he continues to serve the Kingsman organization. Story starts moving very early as Eggsy is ambushed on his way from work by a evil humanoid Charlie Heskethem. Unfortunately scenarist dont bother too much with the explanation of backstory (which organization does what and who is who) and you are expected to have all the necesary knowlidge from the first movie.

Absolute points of absurdity

American Kingsman „cousins“ – The Statesmen

Statesmen organization with headquarters in Kentucky are one big joke for you all. For example, our American counterparts decided on naming its agents after liquor instead of characters from legends about king Arthur so you meet agent tequilla and agent whisky and that alone is a real laughing matter.

Legalization of drugs worldwide

Already bizarre enough plot shoots into a whole new level as the main goal of our villan is introduced. Thats right, world wide legalization of drugs with everything in place incuding taxes. Main villan Poppy Adams, operating from a Kambodza rainforest has big plans that we can be sure of.

Emotional side

Unfortunately, with all the action and exagerration, emotinal side of the movie that is supposed to even out all this crazynes is almost non-existent. In the first movie, we had a relationship betwen Harry and Eggsy that filled its role perfectly. In the sequel roles reverse and Eggsy is the one who takes Harry under his wing. That is just not doing it for us and whole movie lacks hearth.

Conclusion

I really liked the movie and it made me laugh a ton.It has amazing actors playing wierdest of roles, but i have to say i probably wont watch it again. I give it 6/10 for great effect and humor Thanks for reading
