Moment to remember is to live with G.I. Action Commands. Joe

Hello film and television lovers, how are you feeling today? I hope very well!

A squad heavily trained to defend the principle of human freedom (something we would like to see in Ukraine nowadays, wouldn't we?) the fight here is against Cobra, an organization that wants to rule the world.

This series was originally thought and developed by Marvel to promote Hasbro action toys. It started out as commercials for television, check it out and ended up becoming a cartoon classic with two miniseries and a series at first. The first series revolved around a device that was sought after by G.I Joe and Cobra who needed to find three catalyst elements to make it work.

Cobra's Revenge showed him controlling the weather with Weather Dominator and showed places from all over the world.

Obviously there were also comic books and these were even more adult because there was not the same censorship of television, so for example there could be dead people. On the small screen whenever something bad was about to happen, the character saves himself at the last moment.

The success of the franchise was selling more and more toys and more characters were introduced in the stories, later the franchise also won sequels in the movies, but that is for a next post.

Thanks a lot for reading.

I watched a documentary not that long about how a lot of shows in the 80's were made to sell toys and they were quite successful in doing so. I think I had several hundred dollars worth of GI Joe toys as a kid and one of my really wealthy friends actually got the Aircraft carrier that probably cost several hundred dollars for that one toy.

One thing we learned about this toy is that it doesn't actually float and we found that out the one day we put it in his pool. It had to be broken into pieces to get it from the bottom and it was destroyed in the process. The parents were not pleased :)
