Today we are here again to talk about a movie I saw recently and that undoubtedly leaves us a great teaching for these unusual times we live in today, it is a movie called Run, hide, fight!
El día de hoy estamos nuevamente por acá para hablar sobre una película que vi recientemente y que sin duda alguna nos deja una gran enseñanza para estos tiempos tan inusuales que vivimos actualmente, se trata de una película llamada Corre, escóndete, pelea!

It is a movie released in 2020, written and directed by Kyle Rankin and starring actors Isabel May, Radha Mitchell and Thomas Jane. The film focuses on Zoe, a 17 year old teenager who recently lost her mother to a terminal illness; it turns out that this girl was not handling the grief over the loss of her mother in an adequate way, which had her depressed, upset, and with problems to socialize.
One of the things that the young woman had is that sometimes she would talk to her mother as if she were alive, besides this she resented her father for his lack of emotions. This young girl studies in a high school and has a unique and better, which wants to have something more than a friendship, therefore invites her to the prom. When they are in the cafeteria, she goes to the bathroom and a group of students enter the cafeteria with guns and explosive material.
Es una película estrenada en el año 2020, escrita y dirigida por Kyle Rankin y protagonizada por los actores Isabel May, Radha Mitchell y Thomas Jane. La película se centra en Zoe una adolescente de 17 años quien recientemente acaba de perder a su mamá debido a padecer una enfermedad terminal; resulta que esta chica no se encontraba manejando de una manera adecuada el duelo por la pérdida de su madre, lo que la tenia deprimida, molesta, y con problemas para socializar.
Una de las cosas que tenia la joven es que en ocasiones hablaba con su mama como si ella estuviese viva, aparte de esto se encuentra algo resentida con su padre por su falta de emociones. Ésta joven estudia en un instituto y tiene un único y mejor, el cual desea tener algo más que una amistad, por ende la invita al baile de graduación. En ese momento que ellos se encuentran en la cafetería, ella se va al baño y es cuando entran un grupo de estudiantes con armas y material explosivo a la cafetería.

Another of the teenagers was a boy we know as (nerd) of those who are unpopular and finally the leader and mastermind of the operation who was a young rebel, with family problems, drug problems and screaming for attention.
Although the plot of the film focuses on the young woman, what we want is to analyze the boys who carried out the shooting and killed several of the young men of the institute. Each one of them with different behaviors and problems but all of them with something in common suffered from mistreatment and bullying. Something that caught my attention was when a teacher arrived as a coordinator to mediate with the young leader of the operation; at that moment the boy complained to the teacher that when he was in his office the teacher told him that he would not be good for anything, that he would never be able to be someone in life, that he would be expelled and many other things.
Es allí lo interesante de la situación, se trata de cuatro estudiantes del instituto con diferentes problemas y situaciones personales. Había dos hermanos, una chica y un chico ambos con problemas de drogas, agresividad y el joven con alucinaciones. Otro de los adolescentes era un chico de los que conocemos como (nerd) de aquellos que son pocos populares y por último el líder y cerebro de la operación quien era un joven rebelde, con problemas familiares, de drogas y que a gritos pedía atención.
Aunque la trama de la película se centra en la joven, lo que se quiere es analizar a los chicos que llevaron a cabo el tiroteo y que mataron a varios de los jóvenes del instituto. Cada uno de ellos con diferentes conductas y problemas pero todos con algo en común sufrieron de maltrato y acoso escolar. Algo que me llamo poderosamente la atención fue cuando llego un profesor con funciones de coordinador a mediar con el joven líder de la operación; en ese momento el chico le reclamo al docente que cuando éste estuvo en su oficina el profesor le dijo que no serviría para nada, que nunca lograría ser alguien en la vida, que lo expulsaría y muchas cosas más.
Now I wonder, would the teacher take the time to investigate the reason for the young person's behavior? Although violence is not justified, nor is it accepted, I believe as teachers we must go beyond things, always behind the rebellion of an adolescent there is a situation that reinforces it. In this case the young man needed attention and he was looking for it at all costs because he came from a totally dysfunctional family where his mother was always on drugs and never paid attention to him.
With respect to the other boys, they had suffered various humiliations from their classmates, what we know today as bullying and that is why as parents, representatives, teachers and society in general we must be very careful not to encourage in children and adolescents the so-called bullying or school bullying, because this can lead to unfortunate consequences. Let us remember that not all people can respond in the same way to any situation.
Ahora me pregunto, ¿Se tomaría el profesor el tiempo para investigar el motivo de la conducta del joven? Aunque la violencia no se justifica, ni se acepta, creo como docentes debemos ir más allá de las cosas, siempre detrás de la rebeldía de un adolescente hay una situación que la refuerza. En este caso el joven necesitaba atención y lo que estaba era buscándola a toda costa porque provenía de una familia totalmente disfuncional donde su madre siempre se encontraba drogada y nunca le prestaba atención.
Con respecto a los otros chicos habían sufrido diversas humillaciones por parte de sus compañeros, lo que hoy conocemos como acoso escolar y es por ello que como padres, representantes, docentes y sociedad en general debemos tener mucho cuidado de no fomentar en niños, niñas y adolescentes el llamado chalequeo u acoso escolar; porque esto puede llegar a tener consecuencias lamentables. Recordemos que no todas las personas pueden responder de la misma manera ante cualquier situación.
