Llegamos a la semana número 5, y con ella vuelvo a recomendarles una película para disfrutar en esta temporada navideña, se trata de lo que para mí es un clásico “El Grinch”. Una producción muy cuestionada y de las cuales he escuchado diversos comentarios, pero de la que poseo mi propia opinión y es lo que quiero presentarles en esta publicación.

A very questioned production and of which I have heard several comments, but of which I have my own opinion and that is what I want to present in this publication.
El Grinch, es una película estadounidense perteneciente al género de animación, estrenada en el año 2018 y para la Cadena Netflix en el 2000. Es importante destacar, que esta producción ha pasado por varias adaptaciones, pero siempre conservando la misma trama o enfoque y es el que ¡El Grinch se robó la Navidad!, básicamente esta película habla de la población de Villa Quien, una aldea donde les encanta la navidad y su celebración es muy importante para los habitantes.
The Grinch, is an American film belonging to the genre of animation, released in 2018 and for Netflix in 2000. It is important to note that this production has gone through several adaptations, but always retaining the same plot or approach and is that The Grinch stole Christmas!, basically this film talks about the population of Villa Quien, a village where they love Christmas and its celebration is very important for the inhabitants.
Sin embargo, hacia el norte de Villa Quien en lo alto de una montaña vive una criatura algo rabioso y de pelaje verde, el cual no le gusta la navidad. Pero ¿Realmente el Grinch odia la navidad? La verdad, es que como en la física donde cada acción genera una reacción así mismo pasó con el Grinch, cuando él era un niño sufrió de acoso por parte de sus compañeros en la escuela, ya que su apariencia era verde y peluda, él para que este comportamiento no continuara intento afeitarse y lamentablemente se corto toda su carita. También ocurrió que a él le gustaba una niña y a el niño que lo acosaba también le gustaba la niña, entonces un día en víspera de navidad el Grinch le llevo un regalo algo extravagante a la niña, pero el otro niño o hizo quedar en ridículo y esto le causo una gran tristeza, lo que lo llevo a aislarse completamente en la cima de una montaña.
However, to the north of Villa Quien on top of a mountain lives a somewhat rabid creature with green fur, who doesn't like Christmas. But Does the Grinch really hate Christmas? The truth is that, as in physics where every action generates a reaction, so it happened with the Grinch, when he was a child he was bullied by his classmates at school, because his appearance was green and hairy, he tried to stop this behaviour by shaving his head and unfortunately he cut off his whole face. It also happened that he liked a girl and the boy who bullied him also liked the girl, then one day on Christmas Eve the Grinch took a somewhat extravagant gift to the girl, but the other boy made him look ridiculous and this caused him great sadness, which led him to isolate himself completely on top of a mountain.
Entonces, ¿Era el Grinch una criatura perversa? Pues aunque su odio por la navidad no se justifica, la verdad es que en Villa Quien algunas personas tenían una idea errada de la navidad, porque solo le daban importancia a los regalos, y en una oportunidad el se los dice que lo único que les interesaba de la navidad era los regalos. Pero dentro de la aldea había una niña de buen corazón Cindy Lou, quien por otras razones se había encontrado con el Grinch y le había mostrado una cara diferente a la de la mayoría de los habitantes de Villa Quién.
So, was the Grinch an evil creature? Well, although his hatred of Christmas is unjustified, the truth is that in Who Village some people had the wrong idea of Christmas, because they only cared about presents, and in one instance he tells them that the only thing they cared about at Christmas was presents. But within the village there was a kind-hearted girl Cindy Lou, who for other reasons had met the Grinch and had shown him a different face to most of the inhabitants of Villa Quien.
Otro aspecto muy importante que mencionar de El Ginch, es que tenía un amigo perruno, Max; era un lindo y fiel perro que prácticamente se lo encontró en el tubo de la basura y a quien cuido y lo hizo su mejor amigo. Ahora bien, ¿Era una persona capaz de rescatar a un lindo peludo de la basura en realidad mala? Pues a mi parecer no, solamente que estaba algo resentido con la gente y por eso no le agradaba la navidad.
Another very important aspect to mention about The Ginch is that he had a doggy friend, Max; he was a cute and faithful dog who practically found him in the rubbish pipe and whom he took care of and made his best friend. Now, was a person capable of rescuing a cute furry dog from the rubbish really bad? Well, in my opinion no, he just resented people and that's why he didn't like Christmas.
Debido a los maltratos que él sufría, las burlas y el menosprecio, El Grinch decide acabar con la navidad, entonces en la víspera de navidad mientras todos dormían, él se robo todos los regalos con la finalidad de arruinar la navidad, pero cuando la mayoría de los habitantes se dieron cuenta de lo que sucedía comenzaron a cantar y a seguir festejando la navidad, mientras que uno de ellos le decía a Cindy Lou que todo era su culpa. El Grinch, quería arruinar todos los regalos, pero al ver a los demás disfrutar de la navidad sin regalos y también ver la presencia de Cindy Lou y decirle “vine a verlo Grinch, porque nadie debe estar solo en Navidad” lo hizo reflexionar y cambiar de opinión en cuanto a lanzar los regalos al precipicio.
Due to the mistreatment that he suffered, the mockery and contempt, The Grinch decides to end Christmas, then on Christmas Eve while everyone was sleeping, he stole all the gifts in order to ruin Christmas, but when most of the inhabitants realised what was happening they began to sing and continue celebrating Christmas, while one of them told Cindy Lou that it was all his fault. The Grinch, wanted to ruin all the presents, but seeing the others enjoying Christmas without presents and also seeing Cindy Lou's presence and telling him "I came to see you Grinch, because no one should be alone at Christmas" made him reflect and change his mind about throwing the presents over the cliff.
Entonces, el reflexionó acerca de su comportamiento, pero también fue producto del buen trato de Cindy Lou, del amor de Max, que él pudo cambiar. Pero lo realmente importantes de esta historia es darnos cuenta lo mucho que podemos dañar a otras personas con nuestro comportamiento y también que no podemos dejarnos llevar por los que otros dicen, porque antes de ver la película yo pensaba que el Grinch era malo, que de verdad odiaba la navidad, pero la realidad es otra.
So he reflected on his behaviour, but it was also because of Cindy Lou's good treatment, Max's love, that he was able to change. But what is really important in this story is to realise how much we can hurt other people with our behaviour and also that we can't get carried away by what others say, because before seeing the film I thought that the Grinch was bad, that he really hated Christmas, but the reality is different.
