# Hola Comunidad!!
Hello Community !! Today I want to tell you my opinion about the horror movie, The Old Ways that is on the Netflix platform. Normally I am not a big fan of horror films because I have a very active imagination and since I was a child I have had some bad experiences with films of this type, if we add that I hate being scared with screamers, you can already get an idea why I avoid this type of film.

But I had high expectations of this film since the supernatural folklore of Mexico is very extensive and we have within our popular history elements that would make a good film, at least that was my illusion, an American production with a good budget that meets with a very vast cultural baggage, it sounded like something really promising.

But great was my disappointment when I realized that it is one more movie of the lot since it tries to mix elements of the exorcist classic with elements of Mexican folklore and that they do not end up matching very well. It seems unnecessary to me that they added too many elements to the film, such as Cristina's addiction, or the number of "demons" that she had in her body, soon the film becomes a demon hunter with a lot of smoke and lights and little background becoming boring, repetitive, and predictable.

>In conclusion, if you are looking for an American-style horror movie like the exorcist and you don't care much about the story, only the "scary" scenes in these movies may appeal to you, but if you want something that leaves you traumatized and wondering about its existence, better watch another thing.
