Hello Community !! These weeks I have been watching a series called iZombie, it is a series that already has its years, the first season aired in 2015, and that I recently rediscovered on the HBO Max platform.
iZombie es una mezcla de comedia, drama y ciencia ficción, que se centra en la vida de Live Moore, una doctora que por azares del destino se ve inmersa en un ataque zombie durante una fiesta en el embarcadero de Seattle y a partir de ahí su vida cambia para siempre. La serie nos cuenta como una droga mezclada con una bebida energética transforma la mente de los que lo consumen volviéndolos zombies ansiosos de cerebros, si el infectado consume cerebros durante las primeras horas de la infección, al parecer esto le permite mantener su conciencia humana, en caso contrario se vuelven seres sedientes de sangre con una fuerza descomunal y poco raciocinio.
iZombie is a mixture of comedy, drama, and science fiction, which focuses on the life of Live Moore, a doctor who by chance of fate is immersed in a zombie attack during a party on the pier in Seattle, and from there her life changes forever. The series tells us how a drug mixed with an energy drink transforms the minds of those who consume it, turning them into zombies anxious for brains if the infected consume brains during the first hours of the infection, apparently, this allows them to maintain their human consciousness, in otherwise they become bloodthirsty beings with enormous strength and little reason.
La primera temporada trata sobre como Live, nuestra protagonista toma un trabajo en la morgue de la policía de Seattle para poder consumir cerebros de manera regular y descubre que con cada cerebro que consume se disparan recuerdo de la vida de la persona que consumió. Esta habilidad la lleva a colaborar con el detective Babineaux que trabaja en casos de homicidios, dónde el piensa que las habilidades de Moore se deben a poderes psíquicos y no a por ser un “no muerto”.
The first season is about how to Live, our protagonist takes a job in the Seattle police morgue to be able to consume brains regularly and discovers that with each brain she consumes, memories of the life of the person who consumed are triggered. This ability leads her to collaborate with the detective Babineaux who works on homicide cases, where he thinks that Moore's abilities are due to psychic powers and not because he is "undead".
Poco a poco la serie empieza a enredarse entre jefes de la mafia que buscan mover la droga conocida como Utopium, empresas corruptas que desarrollan bebidas energéticas para poder venderlas a la milicia y un nuevo mercado de venta de cerebros humanos a zombies ricos recién convertidos.
Little by little the series begins to become entangled between mafia bosses who seek to move the drug known as Utopium, corrupt companies that develop energy drinks to sell to the military, and a new market for the sale of human brains to newly converted rich zombies.
En lo personal es una serie que me gusta bastante, pues es una mezcla entre la Ley y el Orden, Unidad de Victimas especiales y una comedia de zombies.
Personally, it is a series that I really like, because it is a mix between Law and Order, Special Victims Unit, and a zombie comedy
