Cobra Kai is a new series on Youtube Red. The story is a continuation of the original Karate Kid Trilogy and occures thirty four years after events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. This new series is mainly told through the eyes of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). All I will say about the story is that the roles have reversed where Daniel (Ralph Macchio) is the successful businessman, while Johnny is down on his luck.

When I first started watching the first episode I loved and hated it. I loved how they brought in the scenes from the original films. At first I thought Johnny was being over played. I decided to watch the second episode and then I was hooked. Johnny quickly grew on me.

What I loved about this show was that there was no black and white, good and evil. The lines are blurred and the stories, both main and back, are complex.

I highly recommend you take a look at this series, especially if you are a Karate Kid fan.
