As will all of my reviews I will not go into the plot

On the surface Ladies First is a 2018 Netflix documentary about Deepika Kumari who came out of abject poverty in rural India on her journey for an Olympic medal at the 2016 Rio games in archery.

However, the film is about how third world (and many people) treat, and regard women in life, and in sports. Deepika Kumari is an amazing young woman, and her outlook on life is not only accurate (unfortunately), but also inspirational. The strength, and vulnerability she shows, made me cheer, and cry.

This documentary is a Must See.

I wish her the very best, and if somehow she sees this, she is welcome in Hawaii. If she wants to study in the United States, she has a place to stay with us, or most of our friends that saw her amazing story.
