Review

There are some great characters and performances. My favorites are Theo Rossi as Hernan "Shades" Alvarez, .and Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard.

The two big problems for me where that the writer and the director dragged the story on for too long. They could have gotten to the end in half the time. All the added scenes added very little to the story, or the development of the characters. If they were going to keep the 13 episodes they could have explored the subplots more rather than just dragging out the main story line.

The second problem was the Jamaican accent. It was very difficult to understand that the Jamaicans, who were a main part of the story, were saying.

There were a couple other minor problems which was how they tried to do the social commentary on race, which did not work at all. The other thing was how they brought in Colleen and Danny from Iron Fist and they just seemed to appear and disappear as if a whole story line was cut out.

I recommend watching it only to keep up with the MCU story line. I could not watch it in one day like Jessica Jones and Daredevil, as it was more like Iron Fist and seemed to drag on and on.
