Anti Matter is a film full of suspense, terror, fear, and genuinely interesting plot lines. Ana, a PHD student, is working on cutting edge research, when she manages to complete a breakthrough. She develops a working wormhole that teleports real things to other places. So, inevitably, following the scientific method, she scales her experiments up before powering up for an innocous bout of self-experimentation.
Then, she loses the ability to develop new memories.
That's when her life (and her research, start to fall apart). That's when this film's mix of suspense and heart-wrenching character development advance and advance and advance like a million ants towards a discarded scrap of food on the ground.
Anti Matter is a brilliant film, with a little known cast. It is visually arresting throughout, and shot beautifully. These aren't the best parts of the film though.
The writing is leagues above a lot of modern science fiction. It is cohesive, interesting, believable, and doesn't go too deeply into too much psuedo science.
Anti-Matter is one of the first films that I have watched in a very lng time that has made me think the word "wow", as it it ended.
A succinct, competent film about the perils of unintended consequences Anti Matter is entertaining, educational, and dramatic.
Best of all, it is fantastic.
I watched this one via Amazon Prime Video - and I reccomend that you do too. It is sophisticated science fiction with the easy to access appeal of Battlestar Galactica. It's a tasteful desert after an enormous meal.
Anti Matter is the best movie, period, that I have seen in a very long time. I don't know how more people haven't watched, seen, or spoken about this absolute gem of a movie.
Please, go and watch it! Right now. I don't care what you're doing. Go watch this film and report back.
