The Western movie that moved me is titled "The call of the wild". The movie was all about a big dog that was stolen from it's home and sold to dog traders. The name of the dog is Buck. The man that bought Buck, taught Buck how to obey by treating him very harshly, buck didn't have any other option but to just obey even though he felt like it was wrong.
Buck was later sold to a man who delivers mail, he was used as a sled dog. Sled dog is a dog that is used to convey load on a runner through snow ice. At first it was really hard for buck to cope but he was able to pull it through.
What I love about the movie?
At some point in Buck's life, he became very determined to protect those in the team, so as to save their lives. I loved Buck's courage and determination, it was electric 😇.
After seeing this movie, I came to realize that I shouldn't be too comfortable with were I am. Buck was comfortable were he was until the day he was stolen. But the aspect that really influenced me and even the way I relate with everything was that even after buck was taken away from his comfort he never gave up, instead he became more determined to succeed.
The part of the movie I find most interesting was when Buck saved his new master from his enemies. Buck was so loyal to his new master because he cared so much for him. His new master was the one that saved him from dying with the rest of the team and that made buck to be so loyal to him till his death. This part of the movie really caught my attention.
The scene that pops into my mind every time I think of this movie, is the part where the team was sold to a new master that was inexperienced. The new master gave them more work and less food. They were to embark on a journey but buck refused to move when they got to half of their journey because he knew where they were about to enter was not safe for any of them, but the new master insisted and that was when the other master who understood Buck freed him. And the rest of them that went died because the ice broke and swallowed them.
The performance of Buck the strong dog was exceedingly a scene you will not want to miss. Buck's ability to cope with his different masters was really amazing. And Buck's actions at every scene was significant and great.
If you haven't seen this movie before I'll like to recommend it to you.
