With the exception of the series La casa de papel, I do not remember seeing such wonderful Spanish works as this movie, which tells the story of one of the most wonderful films that have been written, because behind it a great artistic meaning in which we are currently living and suffering from most of the world’s population, namely greed and bureaucracy.
Director Galder Gaztelu was able to present us with a great work of art that deserved the praise of everyone because of its great meaning that left an impact on souls and was able to convey that meaning through a great impact in this film, which is one of the wonderful Spanish fingerprints in world cinema.

The film talks about Göreng who entered a building to serve a sentence, which he initially considered as a prison, but this was not the case. This prison consists of floors, and each floor contains an opening overlooking the lower floor, and each cell or floor contains two prisoners.
At first, Göreng was astonished by this place, and his astonishment increased when a platform with food descended, but he did not like to eat at this time and only took his apples from the platform to eat them later, but his old colleague who was with him asked him to eat or else he had to wait for the next day for the platform to come.
After the platform descended to the bottom, the weather became very hot, and he asked his colleague to throw the apple in order to return the atmosphere to what it was and indeed that happened. Göreng realized at the time that this was a platform descending from the first floor and passing through each floor until it reached the lowest floor, whose number he did not know.
Every time the food decreases until the inhabitants of the lower floors almost find no food. After about a month, Göreng woke up to find himself tied and his colleague who had a sharp knife said that he would cut his flesh until the month was over. Here Göreng knew that every month the floor changed and they are now on a very low floor. No No food gets to him.
Göreng was able to get rid of his chains with the help of a girl who was looking for her daughter between the floors and a new story begins after Göreng understands what is going on in that building.

This film represents to us class in its highest sense, where the poor do not find any food and any resources while the resources are wasted by the upper class in the world despite it that if everything is shared, it will suffice.
And I think this is what is happening in the world at present from the suffering of the poor because of the looting of their resources and the lack of a fair distribution of wealth, and the film was able to convey that message to us through a wonderful style.
