Maybe I was a little exaggerated with the title and you know that I don't usually post about series that I don't like, but, yesterday I was watching X/Twitter and I saw a post about x anime and Konosuba, and honestly I didn't even remember that Konosuba existed and worse, I didn't remember that I had seen it (not complete, but I saw it) and I really can't understand why many people find this series so funny, or what do I know, maybe I'm the wrong one.

Tal vez fui un poco exagerada con el título y ustedes saben que no suelo hacer post sobre series que no me gustan, pero, ayer estaba viendo X/Twitter y vi un post sobre x anime y Konosuba, y sinceramente yo ni siquiera recordaba que Konosuba existía y peor, no recordaba que yo la había visto (no completa, pero si la vi) y realmente no puedo entender porque a muchos les parece tan divertida ésta serie, o yo que se, tal vez la que esté mal soy yo.

I feel that the humor in this series is pretty silly (or I don't know, I don't usually understand Japanese humor), it's like: "oh, look, a goddess who is really dumb, haha" "oh look, a magician who only knows how to cast one spell, this is really funny" and stuff like that, you know? Oh, y no puede faltar el fanservice y ni le hagan hablar de la señora ésta que es la guerrera del equipo, la que tiene una especie de ninfomanía (¿puedo decir esa palabra aquí? Y es ese el detalle de este anime, que Konosuba no busca ser un "buen Isekai" y nada por el estilo, sino que, literalmente, es una alegoría y burla directa a todos los animes Isekai. Directamente se están burlando de la mayoría de las obras de este género.

Es por eso que a mucha gente le encanta y es por eso que está teniendo el éxito que tiene actualmente (que ya hasta tiene crossover y una tercera temporada en emisión). La misma gente le gusta el humor bizarro, los personajes inservibles y los diálogos y chistes absurdos y repletos de doble sentido, ah, y el fanservice que nunca debe de faltar. xD

Repito, estoy completamente de acuerdo contigo en todo lo que mencionas. Igual y si lo has visto aquella vez pensado en ver un buen Isekai, te llevaste dicha decepción. Pero si lo ves de otra manera, solo para divertirte o pasar el rato, tal vez y te guste, o tal vez no. Es todo cuestión de perspectiva y de gustos de cada quien, no sé.

The problem with that series is that it is a parody of parodies that makes fun of parodies. It sounds like a tongue twister and it is. There is no point in expecting anything good to come out of the story and the characters far from improving sometimes devolve. In short, it is a series that not everyone understands, but that many enjoy.

Konosuba is an isekai parody. It takes all the typical traits of the genre, then reverts and exaggerates them. Main protagonist would typically have some kind of power - no, he is completely useless. He should maybe be on an adventure, gaining power to defeat demon lord or something? Nothing significant happens. So maybe lead a slow, fulfilling life - nope, he is a lazy bum with no ambition, boasting his constant misery. He should be meeting powerful companions, build a harem of beautiful ladies? Yes, he does have sort of a harem (although again, nothing happens), but built out of total oddballs. A goddess that is supposed to be powerful, knowledgeable and dignified, but behaves like a spoiled child, can only do some cheap tricks and is best utilized as a frog bait. A paladin that should be honorable, pure and a strong fighter, but is a masochist that can't even land a hit herself. An intelligent and talented magician that wastes all that in pursuit of becoming a walking nuke. And yet, in the background all these characters are actually good people, they just don't conform to what is typically required of their roles. Personally I like it a lot :o)

te entiendo, yo lo comencé a ver y tampoco no fue de mi todo agrado, no se no hubo esa química que te llama la atención ni aplicando los tres primeros capítulos, creo que hay otros que si de una te cautivan y bueno solo sale su primera, pero bueno entre gustos y colores jeje

I like konosuba, it's probably just an acquired taste for their humor as it can be different depending the viewer's cultural upbringing. And as far I know, Konosuba's jokes is about being a set of useless and loveable class of idiots.
