¡Feliz inicio de semana amantes del cine!

Happy start to the week movie lovers!

El tema de esta semana no es fácil de escribir (ver post original aquí), pero viendo tanta participación dentro de la comunidad, hoy por fin me decidí a compartir una de las películas (o mejor dicho franquicia de películas) que me ha hecho irme a dormir en cuestión de minutos luego de verla.

This week's topic is not easy to write (See original post here), but seeing so much participation within the community, today I finally decided to share one of the movies (or rather movie franchise) that has made me go to sleep in question minutes after seeing it.

"Rápido y Furiosos" es una de las películas entre su género el cual nunca me llamó la atención. La premisa de la primera película tal vez pudo funcionar para una sola película pero llevarla hasta donde ha llegado bajo el mismo concepto, me ha hecho desecharla como opción desde el primer día que oí sobre ella.

"Fast and Furious" is one of the movies among its genre which never caught my attention. The premise of the first movie may have worked for one movie but taking it as far as it has come under the same concept has made me write it off as an option since the first day I heard about it.

Yo apenas contaba con 11 años cuando la primera película fue estrenada. Nunca he estado realmente interesado en el género de acción (aunque tengo algunas excepciones) decidí verla una vez para salir de la duda porque había una especie de "furor" por ésta película cuando salió por primera vez.

I was barely 11 years old when the first movie was released. I've never really been interested in the action genre (although I have some exceptions) I decided to watch it once to find out for sure because there was a kind of "craze" for this movie when it first came out.

Vaya sorpresa que me llevé al ver los primeros minutos de la película, no tuve ningún interés de continuar viéndola luego de algunos minutos de haber empezado, y llegué a la conclusión de que no solo no era de mi interés el género de la película sino que tampoco estaba convencido del tema que trataba la película.

What a surprise I got when I saw the first few minutes of the film, I had no interest in continuing to watch it after a few minutes of having started, and I came to the conclusion that not only was the genre of the film not of interest to me, but that he was also unconvinced of the subject matter of the film.

No me sentí decepcionado pero desde entonces puedo asegurarles que he evitado a toda costa verla o leer algo acerca de esa película. Un montón de personas corriendo en carros por autopistas de todo el mundo, haciendo apuestas para ver quien corre más rápido, saltando de puentes, persiguiendo a personas o "enemigos" para combatir no sé que mal en la tierra, me parece una idea absurda y totalmente aburrida.

I was not disappointed but since then I can assure you that I have avoided seeing it or reading anything about it at all costs. A lot of people running in cars on highways around the world, placing bets to see who can run faster, jumping off bridges, chasing people or "enemies" to fight I don't know what's wrong on earth, it seems to me an absurd idea and totally bored.

Pero es el género en donde se desenvuelven el que impide que me atraigan este tipo de películas que parecen más de "fantasía" que de acción, ya que la cantidad de imaginación que se debe emplear para crear algunas de las escenas parecen sacadas de los peores cuentos de magia de la era medieval.

But it is the genre in which they take place that prevents me from being attracted to these types of films that seem more "fantasy" than action, since the amount of imagination that must be used to create some of the scenes seems to be taken from the worst tales of magic of the medieval era.

Con respecto al reparto hay muy poco que decir. Salvaría a Michelle Rodríguez porque la he visto actuar en otros proyectos y es bastante buena, pero el resto del elenco se quedó atascado en esos personajes y poco a poco han perdido espacio en otros géneros y buscando otros públicos (aunque se han hecho bastante ricos con lo que ganan haciendo esas películas).

Regarding the distribution there is very little to say. I would save Michelle Rodríguez because I have seen her act in other projects and she is quite good, but the rest of the cast got stuck in those characters and little by little they have lost space in other genres and looking for other audiences (although they have become quite rich with what they earn making those movies).

Las actuaciones no son nada del otro mundo, bastante normales y no requieren de mayor trabajo, pasan muy desapercibidas. No hay un interés relevante más allá del que presentan como parte de su premisa: carros, acción, piel y por alguna razón "familia" (concepto que entendí cuando un meme se hizo viral sobre la película); nada más.

The performances are nothing to write home about, quite normal and do not require much work, they go very unnoticed. There is no relevant interest beyond what they present as part of their premise: cars, action, skin and for some reason "family" (concept I understood when a meme about the movie went viral); nothing more.

Me aburrió hasta dormirme el hecho de que no hay alteración en la narrativa, todo parece que se repite en cada película nuevo, lo único que cambian es la ciudad en la que se desarrolla cada película y la banda sonora, nada más, el resto permanece casi igual.

I was bored to sleep by the fact that there is no alteration in the narrative, everything seems to be repeated in each new movie, the only thing that changes is the city in which each movie takes place and the soundtrack, nothing else, the rest remains almost equal.

Y no importa cuantos actores o actrices de renombre incluyan en la nueva película que sale, no termina de interesarme lo suficiente como para ver el tiempo que dure la película, sin importar que sea mi actriz o actor favoritos, no le encuentro sentido verla porque ya puedo ver en que terminará todo, es lo mismo una y otra vez, y así ha sido por más de 2 décadas.

And no matter how many renowned actors or actresses they include in the new movie that comes out, it doesn't interest me enough to see the duration of the movie, regardless of whether it's my favorite actress or actor, I don't see the point of seeing it because I already I can see where it will all end, it's the same over and over again, and has been for over 2 decades.

Sigo sin entender el interés general por esta franquicia, pero respeto a quienes les haya interesado desde su primera entrega hasta el día de hoy, que continúan produciendo hasta spin offs y quien sabe que más seguirán haciendo en el futuro. Por mi parte, no me genera más que sueño y cero interés en verla nuevamente, aunque sean solo unos minutos nada más.

I still don't understand the general interest in this franchise, but I respect those who have been interested from its first installment to today, who continue to produce spin offs and who knows what else they will continue to do in the future. For my part, it only makes me sleepy and zero interest in seeing her again, even if it's just a few minutes.
