Since last monday I started watching the first and second season of "The Chosen" and it has been a real surprise for me. I had heard about it for many years, I even managed to see some fragments of one or two episodes when it was broadcast on television, but I had not paid much attention to it until this week.

Desde el lunes pasado comencé a ver la primera y segunda temporada de "The Chosen" y ha sido una verdadera sorpresa para mi. Había escuchado de ella desde hace muchos años, incluso logré ver algunos fragmentos de uno que otro capítulo cuando fue transmitido por televisión, pero no le había prestado mucha atención hasta esta semana.

This is my first post in the "Cine TV" community that isn't part of the weekly contest, so I'm excited to tell you about it for the first time here this week in this first review/opinion style post.

Éste es mi primer post en la comunidad "Cine TV" que no es parte del concurso semanal, así que me emociona hablarles por primera vez aquí de esta semana en esta primera publicación estilo reseña/opinión.

"The Chosen" is a series that focuses on the life of Jesus Christ, the first series of this style, which narrates what he was like during his time on earth, the life and ministry he fulfilled in the world, Jesus of Nazareth.

"The Chosen" es una serie que se centra en la vida de Jesucristo, la primera serie de este estilo, el cual narra lo que fue durante su tiempo en la tierra, la vida y el ministerio que cumplió en el mundo, Jesús de Nazaret.

Based on real events, through the books of The Bible, it tells how Jesus was fulfilling his mission on earth step by step and bringing the word of truth and salvation to those who still they were not believers of God or that they were, but not from the heart.

Basada en hechos reales, por medio de los libros de La Biblia, cuenta como Jesús fue cumpliendo con su misión en la tierra paso a paso y llevando la palabra de verdad y salvación para aquellos que aún no eran creyentes de Dios o que lo eran, pero no de corazón.

The entire production has been incredible, doing a job that requires setting past times and that is done so well, is not easy. Each place, each costume, each landscape, manages to take you to those exact moments where these events occurred more than 2000 years ago. For this reason, the production in general is to be admired.

Toda la producción a sido increíble, hacer un trabajo que requiere ambientar épocas pasadas y que se hace tan bien, no es sencillo. Cada lugar, cada vestuario, cada paisaje, logra llevarte a esos momentos exactos en donde estos eventos ocurrieron hace más de 2000 años. Por eso, la producción en general es de admirar.

Regarding the actors, I have no previous reference to their participation in the series, some of them may seem familiar to me but I can't remember them in any specific film or television project where I have seen them act. But in general, all the cast of the first and second season are new actors for me but everyone's work is really good.

Con respecto a los actores, no tengo ninguna referencia previa a su participación en la serie, algunos de ellos tal vez me parecen familiares pero no consigo recordarlos en algún proyecto de cine o de televisión específico donde los haya visto actuar. Pero en general, todo el cast de la primera y segunda temporada son actores nuevos para mi pero el trabajo de todos es realmente bueno.

The times of the series and the chronological structure pass us by several times, for example, the series focuses on the active life of Jesus on earth, but they play with time jumps between the years BC (A.C) and After Christ (D.C), this as a way of contextualizing and making sense of the events we see during the time in which Jesus fulfills his ministry on earth. This generates dynamism and gives us a greater context of what we are seeing, with the aim of knowing and understanding where everything that Jesus does on screen comes from.

Los tiempos de la serie y la estructura cronológica nos pase por varios tiempos, por ejemplo, la serie se centra en la vida activa de Jesús en la tierra, pero juegan con saltos de tiempos entre los años Antes de Cristo (A.C) y Después de Cristo (D.C), esto como una forma de contextualizar y darle sentido a los eventos que vemos durante el tiempo en el que Jesús cumple su ministerio en la tierra. Esto genera dinamismo y nos da mayor contexto de lo que estamos viendo, con el motivo de conocer y entender de donde viene todo aquello que Jesús hace en pantalla.

Personally, I am not a fan of the series or movies that talk about the life of Jesus, I am not able to see them all because I know how they end. But I must admit that this series has something that attracted me, even without watching it, just hearing about it, I didn't see a trailer, I didn't look for reviews, I just heard about it and I started watching it and I was immediately hooked.

Personalmente, no soy seguidor de las series o películas en las que se habla de la vida de Jesús, no soy capaz de verlas todas porque sé como terminan. Pero debo admitir que esta serie tiene algo que me atrajo, aún sin verla, solo escuchar de ella, no vi trailer, no busqué reseñas, solo escuché hablar de ella y la comencé a ver y fui enganchado inmediatamente.

The series has 3 seasons, the most recent one was released last year and the last 2 episodes have not yet been released to watch online but they can be seen in theaters in a few days and then they will be released by Netflix and its official page , where by the way, you can watch the entire series completely free.

La serie cuenta con 3 temporadas, la más reciente fue estrenada el año pasado y aún los últimos 2 capítulos no han sido liberados para ver online pero se podrán ver en cine en pocos días y luego serán estrenados por Netflix y su página oficial, en donde por cierto, pueden ver la serie entera completamente gratis.

My recommendation is that if you have never seen any audiovisual work on the life of Jesus, this series will give you the opportunity to change your life. It is a series to watch with an open mind and with a heart ready to receive the message that the series wants to convey to millions of people around the world.

Mi recomendación es que si nunca has visto algún trabajo audiovisual sobre la vida de Jesús, esta serie te dará la oportunidad de cambiar tu vida. Es una serie para ver con la mente abierta y con el corazón dispuesto a recibir el mensaje que la serie quiere hacer llegar a millones de personas en el mundo entero.
