I wish I could say that I am also an expert in the kitchen, but I barely know how to fry an egg (well not like that either)😄, at some point I wanted to study to be a chef, but when I saw the cost, and how difficult it was, I got discouraged.
There are things no matter how much we want to do, there is always a blessed, but that slows us down, stops us, and we do not try, then we prefer to forget about it and leave it behind, maybe it only happens to me, but I do not think I'm the only one, although there are some who run with luck, in getting an opportunity, and once there, they realize if that was their thing or not, to try if this was really what you wanted to do.
Watching this movie, I saw that part reflected in this woman, she believed that this was really her dream, but as she got involved in this whole world, she realized that it was tougher and harder than she imagined, a dream is one thing, but the reality is always stronger.
Aoy is a young girl who worked in a family restaurant, she was in charge of frying the food, it was her specialty, until one day, because of this talent, a boy makes her an invitation to join the best chef, and be part of his team, of course, this was a real challenge for her, anyway, she decided to take the risk and try it.
HUNGER, that's the name of this Thai film, is a strong, interesting story, where it shows us an overwhelming scenario, when it comes to good food, those exquisite dishes, that we savour, and the satisfaction that it provokes in the social classes, between rich and poor.
Acting
Here we have two main characters, the first one is Aoy, a young apprentice, a simple girl, humble, somewhat insipid in my opinion, always serious, quiet, she almost didn't speak, but even so, she made herself noticed, in front of the chef, and the others, when she had to say something she said it, you can't deny her, she just wanted to be special, to be looked at, and to enjoy her dishes, but this is something that requires practice, experience, in certain areas, and she still had a lot to learn.
On the other hand, we have Chef Paul, a proud man, with a strong character, inhuman, he was rude with them, too strict, he did not accept mistakes, everything had to be perfect, as he wanted, of course it was his kitchen, his image, since he was an important and recognized person in the culinary world, all the rich wanted to try his exquisite dishes, so they always sought to hire him, in events and important parties, he was present.
This story is somewhat complex, many will say that it was not great, even consider it a bad version of the previous one, called MENU, but to be honest I liked it, it was quite entertaining, although I consider it a bit long, I do not deny that it had its slow moments, scenes out of context, and an ending, well, it did not captivate me.
As they say, not all stories should have a happy ending, this girl went through all this, and then, well, I'd better not tell you how it ended, I'll leave it to you to see it.
The plot does not bore, on the contrary, it entertains, it contains scenes a little exaggerated, as we see the rich people licking their fingers, savouring every delicacy presented by the chef, when it comes to food, everything depends on who prepares it or where you eat, there are things that you can do and others that you can't, to demonstrate hunger, this is something that the chef wanted to reflect, no matter what social level you have, that satiety, we all have it.
If you want something, you must know that every act has consequences, whether good or bad, you have to take the risks, face whatever comes, especially if it is to seek fame, this is an environment, to which not many are prepared for it, to assume the pressure, and what it implies to let go, to let go, if you want to stay in this world, as I said one thing is what we dream, and another is when we face reality, we must see if we are willing to continue or not.
As you can see in this film, I think the director was looking to show those two sides of the coin, more than being a drama story, it has its hidden message, to reflect, if you look at it well.
Anyway, this is my humble opinion about this film, I'm not saying it's one of the best, but it certainly achieves its purpose, which is to entertain you, if you haven't seen it, take the chance and watch it, and tell me what you think, see you in the next one.

Hay cosas que por más que deseamos hacer, siempre hay un bendito, pero que nos frena, nos detiene, y no lo intentamos, entonces preferimos olvidarnos de eso y dejarlo atrás, quizás solo me pase a mí, pero no creo ser la única, aunque hay algunos que corren con suerte, en conseguir una oportunidad, y una vez allí, se dan cuenta si eso era lo suyo o no, de probar si esto en verdad era lo que deseabas hacer.
Al ver esta película, vi esa parte reflejada en esta mujer, ella creía que esto era realmente su sueño, pero al verse envuelta en todo este mundo, comprendió que era más rudo y difícil de lo que se imaginó, un sueño es una cosa, pero la realidad siempre es más fuerte.
Aoy es una joven chica que trabajaba en un restaurante familiar, era la encargada de sofreír la comida, era su especialidad, hasta que un día, por este talento, un chico le hace una invitación de unirse a trabajar con el mejor chef, y formar parte de su equipo, por supuesto, esto era un verdadero reto para ella, de igual manera, decidió arriesgarse e intentarlo.
HAMBRE, así se llama este film tailandés, es una historia fuerte, interesante, donde nos muestra un escenario avasallante, cuando se trata de la buena comida, de esos exquisitos platos, que saboreamos, y de la satisfacción que provoca en las clases sociales, entre ricos y pobres.
Actuaciones
Aquí tenemos dos personajes principales, la primera es Aoy, una joven aprendiz, una chica sencilla, humilde, algo insípida a mi parecer, siempre seria, callada, casi que ni hablaba, pero aun así, se hacía notar, frente al chef, y los demás, cuando tenía que decir algo lo decía, no se le puede negar, ella solo deseaba tener ser especial, que la miraran, y disfrutaran de sus platos, pero esto es algo que requiere práctica, experiencia, en ciertas áreas, y ella aún le faltaba por aprender.
Por otra parte, tenemos al Chef Paul, un hombre soberbio, de carácter fuerte, inhumano, era rudo con ellos, demasiado estricto, no aceptaba errores, todo tenía que ser perfecto, como él quería, claro era su cocina, su imagen, puesto que era una persona importante y reconocida en el mundo culinario, todos los ricos deseaban probar sus exquisitos platos, por eso siempre buscaban contratarlo, en eventos y fiestas importantes, él estaba presente.
Esta historia es algo compleja, muchos dirán que no fue gran cosa, incluso la consideran una mala versión de la anterior, denominada MENU, pero para serles sincera a mí me gusto, fue bastante entretenida, a pesar de que la considere un poco larga, no niego que tuvo sus momentos lentos, escenas fuera de contexto, y un final, qué bueno, no me cautivo.
Como dicen por allí, no todas las historias deben tener un final feliz, esta chica paso por todo esto, para después, bueno mejor no los digo, como quedo, se los dejo a ustedes para que la vean.
La trama no aburre, al contrario, entretiene, contiene escenas un poco exageradas, como vemos a los ricos chupándose los dedos, saboreando cada exquisitez presentada por el chef, cuando se trata de la comida, todo depende de quien lo prepare o donde comas, hay cosas que se pueden hacer y otras que no, demostrar tanto el hambre, esto es algo que el chef quería reflejar, no importa el nivel social que tengas, esa saciedad, todos la tenemos.
Si deseas algo, debes saber que todo acto tiene consecuencias, sean buenas o malas, hay que asumir los riesgos, enfrentar lo que venga, sobre todo si se trata de buscar la fama, este es un ambiente, al que no muchos están preparados para ello, para asumir la presión, y lo que implica soltar, dejar ir, si quieres mantenerte en este mundo, como dije una cosa es lo que soñamos, y otra es cuando enfrentamos la realidad, debemos ver si estamos dispuestos a seguir o no.
Como ven en este film, creo que el director buscaba mostrar esas dos caras de la moneda, más que ser una historia de drama, tiene su mensaje oculto, para reflexionar, si lo miras bien.
En fin, esta es mi humilde opinión sobre esta película, no digo que sea una de las mejores, pero sin duda logra su cometido, que es entretenerte, si no la han visto, aprovechen y mírenla, y me dicen que tal les pareció, nos vemos en la próxima.
