A TV reporter (Bruce Nolan) is having a bad day, and he blames God (Morgan Freeman) for everything bad that happens to him, reproaching Him for how poorly He’s acting. Among the other characters, we have Morgan Freeman in the role of God. I really like this actor; he’s very good, with his serious expression, but at the same time, that touch of humor and mystery. I think he should have appeared more; he didn’t get enough screen time, considering it was a role as important as that of God himself. On the other hand, we have Jennifer Aniston as Bruce’s girlfriend—a decent, loyal woman who adds a touch of romance to the story.
There are many ways to view and interpret the message of this movie; I’ll leave that up to you. For me, it was quite entertaining and, at the same time, thought-provoking. God is great and has a huge job—taking care of all of us—and that job isn’t for just anyone.
