Who remembers those first shark movies, full of drama, suspense, and gory scenes, always letting you see that these animals are really dangerous and that you have to be very afraid of them, try to stay away from them, but above all not to go too far from the seashore.
Last weekend I had the intention of watching a good movie, but my internet connection wasn't very good, and in my search to find something good to watch, I came across a movie called SHARK BAIT, and it was the only one that didn't stick, I saw the synopsis and said let's see how this goes.
From time to time I like to take a look at this kind of movies, of this style, a little bit bloody, with some suspense, drama, and to be honest, sometimes I find some scenes absurd, I think, but why do they do that, like they are looking for death by themselves.
Here we see a group of friends made up of three young people, two girls and three boys, who are on vacation on the beaches of Mexico, drinking, dancing and enjoying their last day of partying; but the next day they decide to steal a couple of jet skis, in order to go into the sea.
But between games and challenges between them, they suffer a strong collision, which makes them crash the jet skis, and one of them is left at the bottom of the sea, being so that one of the boys is seriously injured in the leg, away from everyone, these young people are trapped in the middle of the sea, without taking into account that they have around them a great white shark.
In the search to help their friend and get out of there, they try to start the other motorcycle, but it does not work, so one of them remembers having passed a boat a couple of kilometers from where they are, he decides to swim there to ask for help, while the other four young people are waiting for their friend to return with help.
While this happens, they notice the presence of this shark that surrounds them, and decides to attack them, in this way it begins to devour its prey, these boys will begin their struggle to survive and to get away from this ferocious animal.
The truth is the scenes as I said are a little absurd, this is the typical shark attack movie, full of mysteries and suspense, with performances that leave much to think about, actions that could have been done from the beginning, but what they left for the end, I guess, to give more length to the film, and have a touch of drama.
One of the boys decides to swim to where the supposed boat is, well if there was a boat, and what a thing, just when he is reaching it, the shark appears and attacks him, but the absurdity is that instead of continuing swimming he continues standing there waiting to be attacked, as well as the part of the phone, where one of the girls managed to keep hers, that is, they fell into the water, but managed to save the phone.
This movie was recently released, on May 13th of this year, it has a duration of 1 hour and a half, starring Holly Earl, first time I see her, since I don't know any other movie she has starred, but without a doubt she will be marked with this movie, it really wasn't one of her best performances, another girl looking to be the heroine, just because she was told she wasn't brave, then this is the best time to prove how wrong they are.
They take advantage of these situations to tell each other things they didn't say before, it's something that always comes up in this kind of movies, like in dangerous situations, when you feel threatened, they usually say everything they think or feel, for fear of dying, as well as here is where you show how brave you are, and everything you are capable of doing in order to survive.
This movie is more of the same, the same plot, a group of people who go deep into the sea, when it comes to sharks, most of the stories start like this, and then show us these epic scenes where the protagonists are devoured by these predators.
And that's what it's all about, I remember when I saw it, and the shark came out, one as a spectator expects this kind of scene where this animal makes an appearance, where it reflects those bloody scenes, of terror, to see how this animal wears out its prey, That's what this kind of sagas are based on, although I keep thinking about how things happened, so that in this case these guys got to be in that situation, the way they crashed, and of course being cut off, with a phone without signal, which was of no use to them.
To complete, at the beginning of the film a legless man comes out, who tries to warn them of the presence of this white shark, but of course no one believes him, who would imagine that this animal lurks in the sea, as I said, it is as if they were looking for death, because going so far into the sea, alone without warning anyone, in an act of adventure and danger, typical of horror movies, when they are told not to go and they still go.
The most comical and nonsense of this movie, is the ending, I will not tell you, I do not want to make more spoiler, if you have not seen it, but I comment, something totally nonsense in my opinion, but well, they only did it to make it longer, that's all.
This movie is certainly not one of the best, in fact, it received many reviews, some not so good, but well, it's passable, as far as it goes, you just have to wait for the shark to finish devouring them all, and hope who survives.
I respect the sea a lot, every time I go to the beach, I remember this kind of movies, and I always say to myself, stay as close to the shore as possible, you never know!!!
Quienes recuerdan esas primeras películas de tiburones, llena de drama, suspenso, y escenas sangrientas, dejando siempre ver que estos animales son realmente son peligrosos y que hay que tenerles mucho miedo, tratar de mantenerse siempre alejado de ellos, pero sobre todo el no irte tan lejos de la orilla del mar.
El fin de semana pasado tuve la intención de ver una buena película, pero la conexión de mi internet no estaba muy buena, y en mi búsqueda por encontrar algo bueno que ver, me encontré con película denominada SHARK BAIT (Gran tiburón blanco),y es que fue la única que no se me quedo pegada, vi la sinopsis y dije vamos a ver cómo va esto.
De vez en cuando me gusta echar un vistazo a este tipo de películas, de este estilo, un poco sangrientas, con algo de suspenso, drama, y para serles algo honesta, a veces me parecen absurdas algunas escenas, pienso, pero porque hacen eso, como que se buscan la muerte ellos solo.
Aquí vemos un grupo de amigos conformado por tres jóvenes, dos chicas y tres chicos, que se encuentran de vacaciones en las playas de México, bebiendo, bailando y disfrutando de su último día de fiesta; pero el día siguiente deciden robar un par de motos acuáticas, para así adentrarse al mar.
Pero entre juegos y desafíos entre ellos sufren una fuerte colisión, lo que hacen que choque las motas, y una quedo en el fondo del mar, siendo así que uno de los chicos queda gravemente herido en la pierna, alejados de todos, estos jóvenes quedan atrapados en el medio del mar, sin tomar en cuenta que tienen a su alrededor un gran tiburón blanco.
En la búsqueda por ayudar a su amigo y salir de allí intenta poner en marcha la otra moto, pero esta no funciona, por lo que uno de ellos recuerda haber pasado un bote a un par de kilómetros de donde ellos están, este decide nadar hasta allá para pedir auxilio, mientras que los otros cuatro jóvenes quedan en espera de que su amigo regrese con la ayuda.
Mientras esto sucede, notan la presencia de este tiburón que los rodea, y decide atacarlos, de esta manera comienza por devorar a sus presas, estos chicos empezaran su lucha por sobrevivir y poder alejarse de este feroz animal.
La verdad las escenas como dije son un poco absurdas, esta es la típica película de ataques de tiburones, llena de misterios y suspenso, con unas actuaciones que dejan mucho que pensar, acciones que pudieron hacer desde un principio, pero lo que dejaron para el final, supongo que, para darle más larga a la película, y que tenga su toque de drama.
Uno de los chicos decide nadar hasta donde está el supuesto bote, bueno si había un bote, y que cosas, que justo cuando está llegando alcanzarlo, aparece el tiburón y lo ataca, pero lo absurdo es que en vez de seguir nadando sigue allí parado esperando que lo ataque será, así como la parte del teléfono, donde una de las chicas logro quedarse con el suyo, ósea, cayeron al agua, pero logro salvar el teléfono.
Esta película fue estrenada recientemente, el 13 de mayo de este año, tiene una duración de una 1 hora y media, protagonizada por Holly Earl, primera vez que la veo, ya que no conozco otra película que haya protagonizado, pero sin duda quedara marcada con esta película, realmente no fue una de sus mejores actuaciones, otra chica que busca ser la heroína, solo porque le dijeron que no era valiente, entonces este es el mejor momento para demostrar lo equivocado que están.
Aprovechan esas situaciones para decirse cosas que no dijeron antes, es algo que siempre surgen en este tipo de películas, como en situaciones de peligro, que te sientes amenazado, suelen decir todo lo que piensan o sienten, por miedo a morir, así como también aquí es donde demuestras que tan valiente eres, y todo lo que eres capaz de hacer con tal de sobrevivir.
Esta película es más de lo mismo, la misma trama, un grupo de personas que se van a profundizar a los lejos del mar, cuando se trata de tiburones, la mayoría de las historias comienzan así, para luego mostrarnos estas escenas épicas donde los protagonistas son devorados por estos depredadores.
Y es que de eso se trata, recuerdo cuando la vi, y salía el tiburón, uno como espectador espera este tipo de escena donde este animal hace acto de presencia, donde se refleja esas escenas sangrientas, de terror, el ver como este animal desgasta a sus presas, en eso es que se basa este tipo de sagas, aunque no dejo de pensar en cómo se dieron las cosas, para que, en este caso estos chicos llegaron a estar en esa situación, la forma en como chocaron, y por supuesto quedando incomunicados, con un teléfono sin señal, que no les sirvió de nada.
Para completar, al comienzo de la película sale un hombre sin piernas, el cual busca advertirles de la presencia de este tiburón blanco, pero por supuesto nadie le cree, quien se va a imaginar que en el mar acecha este animal, como dije, es como que se buscaran la muerte, porque adentrarse tanto al mar, solos sin avisarles a nadie, en un acto de aventura y peligro, típico de las películas de terror, cuando les dicen no vallas e igual van.
Lo más cómico y sin sentido de esta película, es el final, no se los diré, no quiero hacerles más spoiler, si no la han visto, pero les comento, algo totalmente sin sentido a mi parecer, pero bueno, solo lo hicieron para darle más larga, eso es todo.
Esta película sin duda alguna no es una de las mejores, de hecho, recibió muchas críticas, algunas no tan buenas, pero bueno, es pasable, dentro de lo que cabe, solo te queda esperar que el tiburón termine de devorarlos a todos, y esperar quien sobrevive.
Yo respeto mucho el mar, cada vez que voy a la playa, recuerdo este tipo de películas, y siempre me digo a mi misma, quédate lo más cerca de la orilla, uno nunca sabe!!!.
