¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un post con una reseña demasiado genial sobre una serie que acabo de terminar de ver que ha estado en tendencia semana tras semana por el hecho de que da inicio a la nueva generación del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel (MCU) y representa los primeros sucesos post Thanos y su chasquido (blip).
Hoy hablaremos sobre WandaVision, la primera entrega que realiza Marvel con formato de serie en la plataforma Disney+ para comenzar la travesía en esta nueva generación.
Welcome back to my blog, you guys! Today I bring you a post with a too cool review about a series I just finished watching that has been trending week after week due to the fact that it kicks off the new generation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and represents the first events post Thanos and his snap (blip).
Today we'll talk about WandaVision, Marvel's first series-formatted installment on the Disney+ platform to begin the journey into this new generation.

¿Quién imaginaría que hace 13 años comenzó este primer arco de 3 fases conocido como la «Saga del Infinito» el cuál terminó hace un par de años con el lanzamiento de Avengers: Endgame?
Han pasado muchas cosas desde entonces, muchas incógnitas quedaron sin respuesta y Marvel lo sabe, esto ha traído como consecuencia un montón de propuestas para mantener contentos a los fanáticos mientras comienzan a llegar las nuevas películas que conformarán la cuarta y nueva fase del MCU, entonces tenemos muchas cosas por delante, pero el día de hoy vamos a hablar con detenimiento del primer escalón de la nueva era.
WandaVision es la primera propuesta de Marvel, esta empresa al haber sido comprada por Disney terminó por tener la exclusividad de transmisión en la plataforma de streaming de dicha empresa conocida como Disney+, principal competencia de otras plataformas similares como Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc.
Who would imagine that 13 years ago began this first 3-phase arc known as the "Infinity Saga" which ended a couple of years ago with the release of Avengers: Endgame?
A lot has happened since then, many unknowns were left unanswered and Marvel knows it, this has brought as a consequence a lot of proposals to keep fans happy while the new movies that will make up the fourth and new phase of the MCU begin to arrive, then we have many things ahead, but today we will talk in detail about the first step of the new era.
WandaVision is the first proposal of Marvel, this company having been bought by Disney ended up having the exclusivity of transmission in the streaming platform of that company known as Disney+, main competition of other similar platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc.
La serie se desenvuelve poco tiempo después del BLIP y la derrota de Thanos en la batalla que vimos en Avengers: Endgame, así que, como sabemos, Vision fue asesinado para que Thanos pudiera tener la gema de la mente en su poder, esto por supuesto afectó muchísimo a Wanda (Scarlet Witch) como pudimos ver en la última película, pero nunca se supo de ella después de dicha batalla.
Pero para hablar con profundidad sobre esta serie, tengo que dividirla entre las etapas de la misma, ya que en cada capítulo nos fuimos adentrando en situaciones que al principio fueron confusas pero que después cobraron bastante sentido al tener de cara la explicación del inicio de todo.
Así que, vamos por parte para dar mi impresión de cada etapa de la serie:
The series unfolds shortly after the BLIP and the defeat of Thanos in the battle we saw in Avengers: Endgame, so, as we know, Vision was killed so that Thanos could have the mind gem in his power, this of course affected Wanda (Scarlet Witch) a lot as we could see in the last movie, but she was never heard from after that battle.
But to talk in depth about this series, I have to divide it between the stages of it, since in each chapter we were getting into situations that at first were confusing but then made a lot of sense to have the explanation of the beginning of everything in front of us.
So, let's go part by part to give my impression of each stage of the series:
Un comienzo extraño | A strange beginning
El principio de la serie fue demasiado confuso, inclusive muchas personas emitieron opiniones sumamente negativas, ya que lo que se pudo observar fue una especie de serie en blanco y negro que se asemejaba a aquellas viejas series de los años 60-70, con el mismo estilo de grabación y argumento.
The beginning of the series was too confusing, even many people issued extremely negative opinions, since what could be observed was a kind of black and white series that resembled those old series of the 60s and 70s, with the same recording style and plot.
Parecía una serie parodia pues nadie se esperaba que después de los sucesos de esa increíble batalla que vimos en la pantalla grande, ahora veamos esto, sin embargo, yo siempre he sido una persona que no juzga un libro por su portada, así que me supuse que Marvel tenía algo entre mente y que esto no era casualidad, no nos respondieron nada.
Y creo que la parte más extraña de todas es que Vision estaba vivo y no podía recordar nada de lo que le sucedió, solo que estaba ahí con su querida esposa y buscaba de vivir una vida normal pretendiendo ser humano frente a un montón de personas en su nuevo hogar, el cual quedaba en una ciudad conocida como Westview.
It seemed like a parody series because no one expected that after the events of that incredible battle we saw on the big screen, now we see this, however, I have always been a person who does not judge a book by its cover, so I assumed that Marvel had something in mind and that this was not a coincidence, they did not answer us anything.
And I think the strangest part of all is that Vision was alive and couldn't remember anything that happened to him, only that he was there with his beloved wife and was looking to live a normal life pretending to be human in front of a bunch of people in his new home, which was in a city known as Westview.
Una trama cambiante | A changing plot
Sabía que estábamos de cara a una genialidad y comencé a sospecharlo en el tercer capítulo donde podemos observar que la «miniserie» interna en la que están viviendo Wanda y Vision comienza a cambiar de época, empiezan a saltar entre los años 80 y 90 por lo que ahora podemos observar que hay color, estilos de vestimenta diferentes y demás cosas en el escenario que hacen que comience un argumento diferente.
I knew we were facing a genius and I began to suspect it in the third chapter where we can see that the internal "miniseries" in which Wanda and Vision are living begins to change era, they start to jump between the 80s and 90s so now we can see that there is color, different styles of clothing and other things in the scenario that make a different argument begins.
Además de eso, comienzan los conflictos entre la pareja porque Vision comienza a ver algunas contradicciones en las cosas que le dijo Wanda sobre vivir en Westview, además del hecho de que tienen vecinos muy extraños, los cuales comienzan a comportarse muy raro frente a él y empiezan a liberar sospechas, entonces él entiende que puede que haya algo malo sobre su realidad.
Aquí yo comencé a sospechar que todo era una ilusión, que no era parte de la realidad del planeta tierra pero al avanzar en los capítulos, me llevé una sorpresa interesante.
Besides that, conflicts begin between the couple because Vision begins to see some contradictions in the things that Wanda told him about living in Westview, plus the fact that they have very strange neighbors, which begin to behave very strange in front of him and begin to release suspicions, then he understands that there may be something wrong about their reality.
Here I began to suspect that it was all an illusion, that it was not part of the reality of planet earth but as the chapters progressed, I got an interesting surprise.

Acá comenzó la serie a impactar a los amantes del MCU porque comenzaron a desatar un montón de interrogantes sobre el porqué de todo lo sucedido anteriormente; por alguna extraña razón la vida de Wanda y Vision podía ser monitoreada por agentes de la nueva organización antiterrorista de los Estados Unidos tras el retiro de Nick Fury, conocida como S.W.O.R.D.
Here the series began to shock MCU fans because they began to unleash a lot of questions about why everything happened before; for some strange reason the life of Wanda and Vision could be monitored by agents of the new anti-terrorist organization of the United States after Nick Fury's retirement, known as S.W.O.R.D.
Con la aparición de S.W.O.R.D también podemos ver una cara conocida de fases anteriores del MCU; Darcy Lewis vuelve a entrar en escena pero esta vez protagonizando un poco más, sabemos que esta chica genio proviene de la película de Thor y ayudó muchísimo en las batallas finales, además de otorgarle mucha información al FBI y a SHIELD sobre el Bifrost que utilizaban los Asgardianos para teletransportarse hacia el universo.
En esta ocasión ella entra como la líder de investigación de los sucesos que se llevan a cabo en Westview y de hecho es ella la que descubre que la vida de Wanda y Vision se está llevando a cabo como una compilación de series que van saltando de época en cada nueva «transmisión», además, logra dar con la información de Vision y estudiar el comportamiento del campo que rodea Westview con los poderes de Wanda, haciéndola ver como la villana en un principio.
With the appearance of S.W.O.R. D we can also see a familiar face from previous phases of the MCU; Darcy Lewis re-enters the scene but this time starring a bit more, we know that this girl genius comes from the Thor movie and helped a lot in the final battles, as well as giving a lot of information to the FBI and SHIELD about the Bifrost used by the Asgardians to teleport into the universe.
This time she enters as the lead investigator of the events taking place in Westview and in fact it is she who discovers that the lives of Wanda and Vision are taking place as a compilation of series that are time-jumping with each new "transmission", furthermore, she manages to hit on Vision's information and study the behavior of the field surrounding Westview with Wanda's powers, making her look like the villain to begin with.
Una villana interesante | An interesting villain
El Plot Twist que nos ofrecieron dentro de la serie me fascinó muchísimo, porque realmente jamás habría esperado que la villana de toda la serie fuera esa vecina bastante molesta que tenían Wanda y Vision conocida como Agnes, la cual en realidad es una bruja legendaria conocida como Agatha Harkness.
The Plot Twist that we were offered within the series fascinated me very much, because I really would have never expected the villain of the whole series to be that rather annoying neighbor that Wanda and Vision had known as Agnes, which is actually a legendary witch known as Agatha Harkness.
Lo único que sí me dejó mucho que desear fue el hecho de que esta villana fue derrotada muy fácilmente, eso me recordó ese estilo Disney de solventar problemas entre héroes (o antihéroes) y villanos donde se muestra un villano increíblemente poderoso que es derrotado de repente por un Power Up del protagonista de la serie/película.
No digo que Wanda no sea tan poderosa como para haberla derrotado pero siento que para los estragos que estuvo causando ella, pudo haberse llevado de otra manera esta parte de la serie, tal vez extenderla un poco más para que la batalla fuese un poco más interesante, pues siento que todo sucedió muy rápido.
The only thing that left a lot to be desired was the fact that this villain was defeated very easily, that reminded me of that Disney style of solving problems between heroes (or anti-heroes) and villains where an incredibly powerful villain is suddenly defeated by a Power Up of the protagonist of the series/movie.
I'm not saying that Wanda is not powerful enough to have defeated her but I feel that for the havoc she was causing, this part of the series could have been handled differently, maybe extend it a little more to make the battle a little more interesting, because I feel that everything happened too fast.
Hay algunas cosas que no quedaron claras con el final de la serie con respecto a Vision ya que pudimos ver una batalla entre el Vision creado por el poder de Wanda y el Vision creado utilizando el cuerpo del Vision original (demasiadas veces Vision), como se pudo ver en el capitulo final, este último se fue de Westview al haber recuperado sus recuerdos por el toque que recibió del Vision de Wanda.
There are some things that were not clear with the end of the series regarding Vision since we could see a battle between the Vision created by Wanda's power and the Vision created using the body of the original Vision (too many times Vision), as we could see in the final chapter, the latter left Westview having recovered his memories by the touch he received from Wanda's Vision.
Entonces, ¿este será el Vision que luchará con los nuevos Vengadores? ¿Seguirá trabajando para SWORD? ¿Cómo se mantendrá activo si no tiene la gema del alma? ¿Qué utilizaron para revivir a Vision? Hay demasiadas interrogantes porque realmente no sabemos qué depara el futuro de Wanda pero lo que sí sabemos es que la volveremos a ver durante los sucesos de la nueva película de Dr. Strange titulada Multiverso de Locura.
So, will this be the Vision that will fight with the new Avengers? Will he still be working for SWORD? How will he stay active if he doesn't have the soul gem? What did they use to revive Vision? There are too many questions because we really don't know what Wanda's future holds but what we do know is that we will see her again during the events of the new Dr. Strange movie titled Multiverse of Madness.
Conclusiones | Conclusions
Siento que estamos de cara a una de las personas más poderosas del MCU y de hecho ya yo lo sabía desde que ella pudo someter al Thanos de Avengers: Endgame con bastante facilidad, siento que no hemos visto aún todo el potencial que guarda Scarlet Witch y no sé si eso sea para bien o para mal, pero lo que sí sé, es que realmente quiero verla en acción en las nuevas películas y series donde podamos verla aparecer.
Por ahora, pasaremos la página y nos concentraremos en la nueva serie de esta nueva fase del MCU la cual será Falcon y El Soldado del Invierno, en donde vamos a ver el cómo se llevará el legado que dejó el Capitán América en el mundo, así que pronto verán otro post de estos por acá reseñando dicha serie.
Ha sido un placer para mí el mostrarles esta reseña y espero que hayan disfrutado tanto como yo el ver a Wanda Maximoff en acción para desatar toda su magia caótica al ser ella la bruja más poderosa del mundo.
I feel like we're facing one of the most powerful people in the MCU and in fact I already knew that since she was able to subdue Thanos from Avengers: Endgame quite easily, I feel like we haven't yet seen the full potential that Scarlet Witch holds and I don't know if that's for better or worse, but what I do know, is that I really want to see her in action in the new movies and series where we might see her appear.
For now, we will turn the page and focus on the new series of this new phase of the MCU which will be Falcon and The Winter Soldier, where we will see how the legacy left by Captain America will be carried on in the world, so soon you will see another post of these over here reviewing that series.
It has been a pleasure for me to show you this review and I hope you enjoyed as much as I did seeing Wanda Maximoff in action to unleash all her chaotic magic as she is the most powerful witch in the world.
