La película comienza cuando nuestro protagonista Hardin está relatando una historia de una joven que está viviendo su independencia lejos de una familia opresora y que está prometida a un chico que no le gusta, pero luego conoce un chico que es completamente lo que ella no le gusta y se enamora de él, el chico la traiciona y después de un tiempo lo superan de perdonan y tienen un final feliz juntos, pero, claramente ese no es el caso del protagonista, Hardin despierta en su auto por el sonido del tren y se da cuenta de que pasó un mes desde que Tessa se enteró de la apuesta y ya no quería estar cerca de él, se le acerca un señor con ropa sucia y desarreglado preguntando por alguien a lo que Hardin le dice que se vaya.
The movie starts when our protagonist Hardin is telling a story of a young girl who is living her independence away from an oppressive family and is engaged to a boy she doesn't like, but then she meets a boy who is completely what she doesn't like and falls in love with him, the boy betrays her and after a while they get over it they forgive each other and have a happy ending together, but, clearly that is not the case for the protagonist, Hardin wakes up in his car to the sound of the train and realizes that it's been a month since Tessa found out about the bet and no longer wanted to be near him, he is approached by a man in dirty clothes and disheveled asking for someone to which Hardin tells him to leave.
Tessa por su parte iba en un taxi con una señora hablando del calor, entro corriendo a su primer día en la editorial de forma nerviosa y el ascensor estaba cerrando, gritó para que el chico que iba dentro lo detuviera pero de igual forma se cerró y ella le gritó al chico que era un idiota, para después darse la vuelta abatida por la perdida de tiempo pero el ascensor vuelve a abrir y ella entra mostrando al chico que le pregunta si lo había llamado idiota, tessa niega rotundamente el hecho y el incrédulo le dijo si seguro lo imaginé, ella se disculpa explicando que es su primer día y quería dar una buena impresión. Al llegar al piso correcto se le acerca una chica alta y rubia dándole la bienvenida y diciéndole que le va a presentar al jefe, pero notaron que no era el mejor momento ya que este peleaba con alguien por tlf rondando por su oficina. Kimberly le enseña su oficina y le explica que está desordenada ya que Vance (su jefe), despedía a los pasantes el día siguiente.
Tessa was in a cab with a lady talking about the heat, she rushed into her first day at the publishing house nervously and the elevator was closing, she shouted for the guy inside to stop it but it closed anyway and she shouted at the guy that he was an idiot, she then turns around dejected by the loss of time but the elevator reopens and she enters showing the boy who asks her if she had called him an idiot, tessa denies the fact and the incredulous boy said yes sure I imagined it, she apologizes explaining that it's her first day and she wanted to make a good impression. When she gets to the right floor she is approached by a tall blonde girl welcoming her and telling her she is going to introduce her to the boss, but they noticed it wasn't the best time as he was fighting with someone on the phone hanging around his office. Kimberly shows him her office and explains that it is in disarray because Vance (her boss) was firing the interns the next day.
Tessa se dedicó a limpiar su oficina y hacer su trabajo pero en algún momento en una hora muy tarde de la noche se quedó dormida hasta que a las 9 AM se despertó encontrando a su jefe leyendo los libros e informes que había elaborado en la noche y se notaba sorprendido, la sacó de la oficina de forma inmediata para ir a una conferencia para asegurar los fondos para su expansión y Trevor ( su compañero de trabajo con el que tuvo el incidente en el ascensor) le dió la recomendación de que para dar buenas impresiones en su trabajo se debería ducharse y ponerse una ropa distinta.
Tessa was busy cleaning her office and doing her work but at some point late at night she fell asleep until 9 AM when she woke up to find her boss reading the books and reports she had produced in the night and he looked surprised, he immediately pulled her out of the office to go to a conference to secure funding for her expansion and Trevor (her co-worker with whom she had the elevator incident) gave her the recommendation that to make a good impression on her work she should shower and put on different clothes.
Hardin fue a la casa de una mujer para que le hiciera un tatuaje nuevo. Tessa al llegar al hotel debe ir con Kimberly a hacer unas compras para el evento, para luego prepararse y alistarse, al momento de bajar se ve claramente la reacción de Trevor el cual alegó que ella definitivamente sabía cómo limpiarse bien, recibió elogios por parte de su jefe y Kimberly y se dirigieron a el sitio.
Hardin went to a woman's house to get a new tattoo. Tessa upon arriving at the hotel must go with Kimberly to do some shopping for the event, to then get ready and get ready, as she gets off you can clearly see Trevor's reaction which claimed that she definitely knew how to clean herself well, she received compliments from her boss and Kimberly and they headed to the site.
Trevor y Tessa se veían incómodos en el lugar ya que no era su ambiente predilecto pero luego de varios tragos y chistes con el inversionista ambos ya estaban más sueltos debido al estado de ebriedad, tessa al ir al baño llama a Hardin para decirle de todo de lo que se pierde y este le pregunta dónde está a lo que ella orgullosa le cuelga el teléfono, solo que ella no se esperaba que él se apareciera allá haciendo un escándalo.
Trevor and Tessa looked uncomfortable in the place since it was not their favorite environment but after several drinks and jokes with the investor both were already looser due to their drunkenness, Tessa when going to the bathroom calls Hardin to tell him about everything she is missing and he asks her where she is and she proudly hangs up the phone, only she did not expect him to show up there making a fuss.
