En transmisión televisiva de una cadena nacional acerca de un dirigente militar hablando acerca que está ahí para de los supuestos platillos voladores y el interés que tienen para la milicia ya que desde que una ley se impuso se verán obligados a revisar todos informar y llamados de sus puestos avistamientos que parecen hostiles y atenten contra la seguridad de estados unidos, así que sin más que agregar llama al autor de un libro el cual representa la idea de que algunos avistamientos indudablemente serán de origen extraterrestre ya que la probabilidad así lo dicta. Aunque ya han habido avistamientos por parte de pilotos no han podido ser estudiados a fondo por parte de las fuerzas aéreas; finalizando la transmisión.

Comenzamos en una casa solitaria dónde adentro se encuentra una familia conformada por dos padres y dos niñas, a punto de comer las niñas juegan hasta que ya la comida está servida y van a sentarse y al disponerse a comer se desaniman muchísimo porque es una comida poco gustosa pero son convencidas, mientras rezan empieza a temblar muchísimo, se corta la energía y algo cae; al despertar una de las niñas está muy mal pero despierta y otra solo está en trance, todos están bien y se abrazan. El padre trata de ver qué rayos pasó y hay un cráter a la lejanía y se escuchan cosas moverse en el techo y en eso el padre dice que el aire es tóxico justo cuando una de sus pequeñas empieza a morir desangrada y el padre igual, solo quedan la madre y la hija menor; desesperada grita y ahí empieza a morir también, dejando a la niña menor sola en ese lugar.

Trata de esconderse en una gaveta de despensa, solo esperando que todo pase pero también es sucumbida por el aire tóxico.

Cambiamos de escena a la estatua de la libertad mientras un narrador da unos datos poco relevantes de la NFL pero a uno de mayor importancia, importancia suprema, tanto como adentro de la película como fuera, el cambio climático tiene que ser revertido antes de 2030 antes que sea demasiado tarde (recuerden, el cambio climático no es un juego ni una farsa, apoyemos el cambio), interrumpen esa noticia súper importante por un boletín de última hora que es una explosión masiva en una comunidad alejada y que no hay mucha información al respecto, dándole al pase a la reportera que se encuentra allí. Ella da la impactante noticia que todos en el pueblo han caído muertos, todos han caído y ya nadie puede pasar; especulan acerca de qué puede pasar ahí pero nada es certeza de algo.

La perspectiva de ahora es una mujer en su bañera contemplando la nada, solo el techo y recordando cosas de su pasado, es llamada a la puerta por unos militares y se dirigen a ella como la dr Lauren, que debe irse con ellos sea como sea, por las buenas o por las malas.

Llegan a un establecimiento al cual, la dirigen a un sala para exponer la situación a ella y a un astrobiólogo; la situación es que un meteorito del tamaño de una pelota golpeó la tierra y soltó gases tóxicos hasta matar a toda la gente alrededor. Ellos son los elegidos para averiguar cómo rayos esto sucedió. Son llevados con trajes especiales en camioneta hasta el lugar del hecho y al encontrarse el cráter no muy profundo, hablan un poco del hecho pero el astrobiólogo anda muy nervioso y da una vuelta, mientras Lauren entra al cráter y divisa una especie de planta creciendo en este lugar, dando sitio a la teoría de que hay vida extraplanetaria.

In a televised broadcast of a national chain about a military leader talking about what is there for the alleged flying saucers and the interest they have for the military because since a law was imposed will be forced to review all reports and calls from their posts sightings that appear hostile and threaten the security of the United States, so without further ado calls the author of a book which represents the idea that some sightings will undoubtedly be of extraterrestrial origin since the probability so dictates. The father tries to see what happened and there is a crater in the distance and they hear things moving on the ceiling and the father says that the air is toxic just when one of the little girls begins to bleed to death and the father the same, only the mother and the youngest daughter are left; desperate screams and there she begins to die too, leaving the youngest girl alone in that place.

She tries to hide in a pantry drawer, just waiting for everything to pass but she is also succumbed by the toxic air.

We switch scenes to the statue of liberty as a narrator gives some not very relevant NFL data but to one of major importance, supreme importance, both as inside the movie and outside, climate change has to be reversed before 2030 before it is too late (remember, climate change is not a game or a farce, let's support change), they interrupt that super important news for a breaking bulletin that is a massive explosion in a remote community and there is not much information about it, giving the pass to the reporter who is there. She gives the shocking news that everyone in town has dropped dead, everyone is down and no one can get through anymore; they speculate about what might happen there but nothing is certain of anything.

The perspective now is a woman in her bathtub contemplating nothingness, just the ceiling and remembering things from her past, she is knocked at the door by some military men and they address her as dr Lauren, who must go with them no matter what, by hook or by crook.

They arrive at a facility to which, she is directed to a room to expose the situation to her and an astrobiologist; the situation is that a meteorite the size of a ball hit the earth and released toxic gases to the point of killing all the people around. They are the ones chosen to find out how the heck this happened. They are taken with special suits in a van to the place of the event and finding the crater not very deep, they talk a little of the fact but the astrobiologist is very nervous and walks around, while Lauren enters the crater and sees a kind of plant growing in this place, giving rise to the theory that there is extraplanetary life.
