"A Silent Voice", A voice of Realization and Correcting Mistakes

Review by @intishar · 1072d · of A Silent Voice · in Movies & TV Shows

Intentionally or unintentionally most of us bully others. Most of the time we do it for entertainment purposes but sometimes we forget the limit of entertainment. Doesn't matter if it's not intentional or for entertainment purposes it creates a huge impact on the minds of those people who become the victim of the bully. This suffers for it greatly and it can be physical but mostly mental. Several times we may feel sorry for crossing our limit and sometimes not. In rare cases, we say sorry when we cross our limit maybe we can't say it because of our inertia. Sometimes we can't tell them we are feeling sorry and sometimes we don't get the opportunity to say them sorry. But the guilty feeling remains within us for whatever we have done.

You may wonder why I am saying that or if is there any specific reason behind saying those things. The reason is in recent times I have seen an anime movie and the thoughts I shared are very much related to that Anime movie. So why not share the amazing Anime movie with you which is sharing insightful thoughts?

The name of the Anime movie is "A Silent Voice" and it's a Japanese Anime movie which released in 2016. The two main characters of it are "Shoya Ishida" and "Shouko Nishimiya". Honestly, all the characters played a significant role in the Anime and all of them played their role well.

"Shouko Nishimiya" is a hearing-impaired girl who was a victim in elementary school by "Shoya Ishida". "Shouko Nishimiya" wanted to be friends with everyone and because of her disability, she used to say sorry to others if something wrong happened. She used to use a notebook to communicate with others otherwise sign language was the way to communicate but unfortunately none of school knew the sign language. Some girls act like friends but they used to say bad in her back and they felt bored communicating with her. So she remained alone

"Shouko Nishimiya" wanted to be a friend of "Shoya Ishida" and he was bullied because he didn't want to be her friend. With him some other classmates also bullied her and after a certain time, she left the school. "Shoya Ishida" was the main reason she left school and teachers also blamed him for it. Things started to change with him after she left the school.

Almost every student of the school blames him for the bully and starts to see him in different eyes. He lost all of his friends and he became alone. The same things happened to him what he has done with "Shouko Nishimiya". He realized and felt guilty for his past actions.

Sometimes he also tried to commit suicide but he was searching for "Shouko Nishimiya" to apologize for his actions and it kept him alive. After several years he found "Shouko Nishimiya" while he went to the sign language learning club. He used to communicate with her with sign language and their bond started to get stronger with time.

In the several years "Shoya Ishida" changed a lot and his lifestyle also changed but he faced huge difficulties in communicating with "Shouko Nishimiya" because of his past nature and he had to struggle a lot to communicate with "Shouko Nishimiya" and became her friend.

"Shoya Ishida" wanted to do good for "Shouko Nishimiya" and he was trying his best to keep "Shouko Nishimiya" happy and he tried to reestablish the connection with old friend with her but things went wrong and reestablished connection with his friend broken again which made him sad.

The "Shouko Nishimiya" wanted to commit suicide and to rescue her "Shoya Ishida" got injured badly and went into a coma. After returning from the hospital he tried to realize "Shouko Nishimiya" that it's true that the situation could be worse but it was not worse enough to die. In the end, all the friends become united again by forgiving each other.

Why did "Shouko Nishimiya" want to commit suicide, how did "Shoya Ishida" become friends with"Shouko Nishimiya", and how he changed himself from his past one? What made the anime special? If you want to know all the answers then you must watch the anime.

I must say something about the anime and those are

  • Storytelling is powerful and amazing in that it will connect anyone easily like you are facing the situation situation.
  • Each character played a role impressively even the side character was also important for the story.
  • It gives us messages about the consequences of bullying, the importance of empathy, and the power of forgiveness.
  • It's a thought-provoking Anime and it shows us that we can try to correct our past mistakes and change ourselves.

From your narration, this movie sound interesting, unfortunately I'm not really into movies like I once was in the past.

But then I guess I'll check this one out so as to witness all this drama.
