Movie review : Horrible Bosses 2

Review by @inuke · 2605d · of Horrible Bosses 2

Namaste Everyone,

I hope you all are doing great and I too, expect for the part where I feel like a chicken on the grills. Yeah, the sun is killing it at 45C (113F). So, there is that. Today I am going to talk about a very serious problem. A problem that I believe most of the office going guys can relate to. It not a problem, maybe it’s a problem, I don’t know. But I am sure that at least once you might have had a thought of strangling a person you refer as Boss.

That’s right folk I am talking about the Horrible Bosses 2 a sequel to the dark comedy Horrible Bosses (2011) which was a good movie to watch. I was wondering how they could have made a sequel to that movie. I mean that movie was like a standalone movie and you know how the sequel to standalone movies plays out most of the time. To give you a measuring scale we have Jaws revenge, Mortal Kombat II, Speed II, and oh dear god “The son of mask”, Grown Up 2 not that the first part did any good. Coming to think of it, I did watched some really shitty movies which itself is a feat in it. I mean have you seen ‘THE SON OF MASK’, the only thought that comes to mind is why they made a movie at all. Anyway I shouldn’t be bitching about my poor choices from past. I should be reviewing ‘Horrible Bosses 2. As usual before we dive into here’s a spoiler alert.

SPOILER ALERT: I am going to talk about some of the important plot point of the movie also may indulge in my own fantasy and may get deviate from the review. You’ve been warned.

Alright the movie starts with the our protagonist Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Dale Arbus (Charlie Day), and Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis) going forward with an idea of start-up soon to realise that they don’t have what it take to get the business up and going. In their moment of doubt they were conned by Bert Hanson (Christoph Waltz) and his son Rex (Chris Pine), leading them at with a massive debt. Now the trio were at the verge of losing everything they ever dreamt off. And resorted to the only thing they suck at, Criminal Activities. They devised a plan to kidnap Rex for ransom to save themselves from the sucky future situations. As expected the execution turn to worst leading them in a situation where they were forced to team up with Rex for his own kidnapping. During the entire ordeal the started to bond with Rex and as the entire thing was coming down they encountered a twist not so pleasant for them.

I am not going to spoil the movie by giving away the twist. But rather focus on my own experience of the movie as the movie proceeded further I started to sympathise with Nick, and started to hate the Dale and Kurt. I mean it is better to have no friends than having friend like Dale and Kurt. But then again if there was not Dale that means there will not be a Julia (Jennifer Aniston). Who is so wonderful, I mean just wow this woman is in her 50s and she is smoking Hot. And played the role of a sex addict with such a brilliance that leaves you wondering many things... But she is not that only one there is Kevin Spacy reprising the role of Nick’s Boss.

It is a good comedy movie, where everything that can go wrong does goes downhill. I would recommend it to anyone who is frustrated with your office life and want to get away for a moment or so. I would recommend this to the people who aren’t from corporate background. You know what this movie is good enough to make me laugh a few time, perhaps it will do the same to you.

I am @inuke. And, remember if you every plan on doing something to your boss, please don’t because he/she are more capable that’s why they are boss. But even if you want to do something please make sure you have buddies who got your back.
