Greetings movie lovers, I join the CineTV Contest to share my favorite sports movie, I was thinking that I have several sports movies that I like some more recent than others but the movie I've seen since I was a child and I never get tired of watching it is Rocky 1, although I like all the films of the Rocky saga, the first one has a special value for me.

I selected this film because it is a story of self-improvement and motivation, at the same time that it shows that although hard work is important, there are also things in life that seem to be written in a script left to chance, such is the case of Rocky, The first thing is that boxing is not one of my favorite sports, because it is a very dangerous sport, I have known of all the effects on health, including death, that can happen in a boxing fight or as a result of these, however, it is also true that boxers leave their soul in the ring and many times these are only used to earn money and are left in oblivion, people will always remember the champion but almost never remember those who are behind them, the second ones, the ones that didn't come but were close, what I like about Rocky 1 is that in this movie both the actor and the character made a bet on destiny with a fight and with a movie, Rocky didn't win the fight against to Apollo but Sylvester Stallone gained fame that made him the idol of a generation.

Rocky's first movie has a simple plot, the boxing champion Apollo Creed is left without an opponent so they decide to choose a fighter who is little known, so that's how they contact Rocky, being such a fight no one expected Rocky was up to the champion, he had everything against him, he was considered a very old fighter, without any important fight in boxing, he had a left-handed fist, which was considered a disadvantage, he did not have any sponsorship and he saw in this fight the only good opportunity of his life, so he decides to face the champion giving everything he had in his fists and in his heart.

I believe that many people can identify with Tocky, because how many of us have not been fighting and fighting to seek a better future relying only on our abilities and our hearts, but an opportunity that we consider important has never come to us, we will always be more excluded luckily, however, Rocky was lucky enough to be chosen for a job, to be the champion's opponent, he didn't need to win, it was just an opportunity to be seen by the world, the thing is that Rocky doesn't win this fight, but he manages to get to the last round exchanging blows with the champion, showing that he had a lot to offer as a boxer.

In all sports there will always be people with great talent, but who have never been seen because they have not had an opportunity to show all they have to give, whether for reasons of sponsorship, politics, geographical location or even age. Little by little, great people who were still able to continue are retiring from sport, although many athletes live with dignity after their youth as a coach or some other profession, many athletes end up in poverty like Rocky was at that time, living on the edge of what I could generate to eat and live, then, from the first moment I liked this film a lot, it was the best story of overcoming.

Another thing that I like is that with this film Sylvester Stallone achieved the same as Rocky, he managed to be seen and appreciated after a career in decline up to that moment, he was going through financial problems, he couldn't get roles as an actor and at the age was being a problem, being the writer of this story and managing to get support for the production on the condition that he be the actor was a risky move with which he ended up winning a lot, he has spoken in different interviews and even said that he guy who sold his dog to be able to move on, after he got a production company to be interested in the script with payment he bought his dog back, I think this movie was destined to be a success because it was made by a real fighter.
