The last holiday / Las vacaciones de mi vida
Esta es una película que creo haber reseñado como una de lasque me gusta ver en navidad, pero aplica al concepto de las vacaciones, fue estrenada en el 2006 siento la actriz principal Queen Latifah, la trama se enfoca en la vida de Georgia, una mujer que es empleada de un departamento de ventas, ella trabaja duro y tiene sueños de algún día gastar sus ahorros en el proyecto su vida, el cual es un restaurante, ella es escribe un diario de posibilidades donde incluso escribe su deseo de casarse con un compañero del trabajo a quien ella ni siquiera se le ha declarado, el asunto es que ella por un pequeño accidente se golpea la cabeza, al hacer los análisis de rutina un medico ve algo raro en las imágenes de la cabeza de Georgia y le diagnostica una enfermedad terminal , ella resignada a la llegada apresurada de su muerte, decide renunciar a su trabajo, liquida todo y saca sus ahorros e irse de vaciles, es casi fin de año, así que decide irse a un hotel en las montañas de República Checa, este es un lugar lujoso y ella pretende pasar su últimos días de vida disfrutando allí las últimas vacaciones de su vida.

Hay varias razones por las cuales me encanta esta película, la primera es que la actriz Queen Latifah es genial, ella tiene mucha naturalidad en su forma de actuar, yo la veo y no ha dicho ni una sola palabra cuando ya me hace sonreír. Otra de las razones es el tema de los planes futuros y las vacaciones, yo vengo de una familia que nunca tuvo el concepto común d las vacaciones, en mi casa mi papá siempre trabajó de forma independiente, el siempre trabajaba hasta los domingos y nunca se daba vacaciones, entonces en mi casa la idea de vacaciones era solamente cuando mi hermana y yo teníamos vacaciones escolares, es decir, la única diferencia es que no teníamos clases, a veces mi mamá nos llevaba a casa de mi abuelo en el campo por unos días y eso era todo, nunca fueron vacaciones como tal, nunca tuve viajes familiares de vacaciones, entonces esto algo que se ha venido repitiendo en o vida con ese mismo patrón, pues de adulta siempre he trabajado de forma independiente y tal como padre me doy vacaciones, en mi mente tengo la idea de hacerlo pero siempre está la limitación económica, tal como Georgia yo solo trabajo para mantener a mi familia y poco a poco ir ahorrando para cumplir con mis metas, no tengo un plan tan elaborado como el diario de posibilidades de Georgia pero si pienso que debo trabajar mucho para mejorar mi futuro, en ese futuro tal vez me de unas vacaciones.
There are several reasons why I love this movie, the first is that the actress Queen Latifah is great, she has a very natural way of acting, I see her and she hasn't said a single word when she already makes me smile. Another reason is the issue of future plans and vacations, I come from a family that never had the common concept of vacations, in my house my dad always worked independently, he always worked until Sundays and never I gave vacations, so in my house the idea of vacations was only when my sister and I had school vacations, that is, the only difference is that we didn't have classes, sometimes my mother took us to my grandfather's house in the countryside for a few days and that was all, they were never vacations as such, I never had family vacation trips, so this is something that has been repeated in my life with the same pattern, because as an adult I have always worked independently and as a father I give myself vacations, in my mind I have the idea of doing it but there is always the economic limitation, just like Georgia I only work to support my family and little by little save to meet my goals, I don't have such a plan put together like the georgia diary of possibilities but if i think i have to work hard to improve my future, in that future i might take a vacation.
Cuando vi por primera vez esta película pensé, que Georgia trabajó tanto y por eso pudo permitirse esas últimas vaciles soñadas, pero al estar en ese hotel de lujo con tantas comodidades, no estaba con nadie cercano y la muerte está tan cerca, pensé que aunque aún no he podido hacerlo no quiero que una enfermedad me quite la posibilidad de algún día disfrutar de un bonito lugar en la montaña, donde pueda ver lagos, bosques o hacer actividades que nunca he hecho y probar comida que no he comido, realmente el lugar de la película para mi puede ser mucho otros, pero el concepto es el mismo, me gustaría disfrutar de actividades diferentes en un lugar y al mismo tiempo poder relajarme y sentirme en paz conmigo misma, por ahora la cuenta de mi vida va en 32 años sin vacaciones, así que creo que me merezco vivir una experiencia de vacaciones realmente memorable.
When I first saw this movie I thought that Georgia worked so hard and that's why she was able to afford those last dream hesitations, but being in that luxury hotel with so many amenities, she wasn't with anyone close and death is so close, I thought that although I haven't been able to do it yet I don't want an illness to take away the possibility of one day enjoying a beautiful place in the mountains, where I can see lakes, forests or do activities that I have never done and try food that I have not eaten, really the place of the film for me it can be many others, but the concept is the same, I would like to enjoy different activities in one place and at the same time be able to relax and feel at peace with myself, for now the count of my life is 32 years no vacation, so I think I deserve to have a truly memorable vacation experience.
La película tiene comedia , romance y también drama, es muy entretenida y a la vez deja un bello mensaje, aunque no se trata de gastar todo los ahorros de la vida en unas vacaciones, la moraleja es que debemos vivir como el último día y darnos vacaciones cuando es necesario, darle la oportunidad al amor y la vida mientras estemos respirando, no se cuando será pero espero que mis vacaciones sean muy pronto y quizá Hive me permita darme esa felicidad.
The film has comedy, romance and also drama, it is very entertaining and at the same time it leaves a beautiful message, although it is not about spending all life savings on vacations, the moral is that we should live like the last day and give ourselves vacations when necessary, give love and life a chance while we are breathing, I don't know when it will be but I hope my vacations will be very soon and maybe Hive will allow me to give myself that happiness.
