Gunpowder Milkshake, not to be missed by fans of the genre

Gunpowder Milkshake turned out to be one of the great cinematic surprises of the summer of 2021.

A lethal and stylish execution with touches of dark humour.

Expertly directed by Navot Papushado, the film features Karen Gillan as Sam, a retired assassin who must return to action to save a little girl.

What stands out most is the chemistry that comes from the powerful female cast, which also includes Lena Headey, Carla Gugino and Michelle Yeoh.

Each actress brings unique nuances to these complex female characters, demonstrating why they are the best at what they do through lethal choreography.

The production designs and colourful photography add vibrant style to the action scenes, choreographed with surgical precision.

But without a doubt, what I most welcome is that behind the technical prowess, Gunpowder Milkshake thrills as a story of redemption and girl power, with nods to black humour.

Not to be missed by fans of the genre. Undoubtedly one of the best films of the year.
