"Import/Export" is Austrian cinema of those that show you realities different from your own.
The director Ulrich Seidl (very awarded and acclaimed in the old world) tells two parallel stories to portray the situation of the lower class in Europe.
The few opportunities that are characterized in a young woman named "Olga" who is a Ukrainian nurse who decides to travel to Austria to give a better life to her mother and son, but her only options are Internet adult content and cleaning, both jobs full of injustice and abuse.
And "Paul" an unemployed young Austrian who decides to travel to Ukraine and works as a slot machine repairman and transporter.
The film makes a perfect radiography about the lack of opportunities between both countries faced by the working class, with a hand-held camera cinematography and no lighting manage to immerse us in the world of the characters, full of industrial landscapes and cold climates like what lower class Europeans live.
