This film is based on the classic book by author Richard Bach, one of the best-selling books of all time (over 40 million copies sold) and an acclaimed film with award-winning cinematography and music.

The beginning and the symbolic journey (spiritual development), through the story of the seagull and its habits, easily personified, using appropriate verbs and nouns (eating and flying, kindness and love), and finally in an existential way, engage the audience in a philosophical questioning. of the meaning of their life and of human freedom.

The film's depth of field, composition and close-ups help to create a narrative tone that is sometimes intimate and sometimes vast, while the music and lyrics reinforce the important messages of the film and the book.

Rarely is there a personal journey with a film, from its photography and music to be read and enjoyed alone or integrated into the film's story.

Written and Directed by Hall Barlett (The Sanchez Children). Cinematography and editing by Jack Couffer (expert wildlife photography). Music by Neil Diamond (The Jazz Singer), a celebrity in the world of music.
