My opinion about the movie The Exorcist: Believer

Well I didn't want to see this in the cinema, the teaser itself looks terrible... even the trailer doesn't convince me, apart from seeing that it comes from the same guy who ruined Michael Myers with the ending of Halloween Group....

No I don't want to pay to see a tragedy.

Now that I've seen this movie in the comfort of my home, I can say it was terrible, but I didn't hate it that much.

He had a mind of his own from the beginning, which on paper, I'm not going to lie, was at least acceptable, but I felt it was all done in a rather dull manner, with zero expressive performances (minus the girls who were okay), a script that generates no interest and very flat direction, and while it didn't feel heavy or tortured, it did feel like it never took off.

One thing that stood out in the first one was the theme of intimacy... focused on the limitations of the characters, but here there's a lot of that because the director and writers wanted to talk about different religions... and this is all boring. and it failed.

From the middle it all falls apart and even insults us, not only the audience, but also Ellen Burstyn, which is a total propaganda ploy.

Also, if it wasn't a sequel to the '73 film (which is still having an impact), it would be one, but called The Exorcist, which a lot of people were waiting for.... The power of Christ doesn't help here.
