The way back is a 2010 film directed by Peter Weir (The Truman Show, The Dead Poets Club, among others). Nominated for an Oscar for Best Makeup.
It tells the story of the protagonist, played by Jim Sturgess, who during the newly established communist dictatorship in Poland, he and his wife are interrogated and finally sent to a labor camp in Siberia, without evidence of any kind.
There he manages to gather a group of prisoners of all kinds who only want to escape from there and get freedom, doing a feat: walking from northern Siberia to India.
From here on, incredible landscapes, very nice photography, pace that does not tire and a long way ahead with all kinds of difficulties.
To highlight the main protagonist Jim Sturgess (21 black jack), Ed Harris and Colin Farrell who never disappoint, and the young Saoirse Ronan (Grand Budapest Hotel).
